“Perfect location”
The hotel is located in the walking distance to Opera, Louvre ,shopping centers, train station, buses and metro. You live and breathe the local atmosphere. Lots of restaurants, coffees and grocery store.
“Great hotel in a great location”
I chose this hotel because I noticed someone had replied to many of the other reviews. I thought that showed the hotel was concerned with their guests' experiences. This turned out to be 100% correct. My room was clean and well-lit. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. They were willing to help me find places I wanted to visit, and also were willing to chat for a few minutes if I felt like it. I'm sure if I had any problems with the room they would have done their best to make my stay more comfortable. This hotel is also next to a large Metro station, giving you easy access to the entire city. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you want a place that cares about your comfort.
“Friendly staff”
Very small room but clean. Friendly staff and close to everything, would definitely stay again.
“Perfectly located hotel”
Very central, a stone throw from the gare St Lazare and all necessary connections to explore each corner of Paris, next to the big shops. Great one.
“Highly recommend Charing Cross Hotel!”
I can't say enough about the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff during our stay at Charing Cross. The rooms are small by American standards but are more than adequate and are clean and well-kept. Who spends the day hanging out in a hotel room if you're in Paris? Charing Cross is in a nice neighborhood and convenient to shopping, restaurants, and transportation. There was even a Starbucks on the corner! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling to Paris who wants a nice, clean, convenient and inexpensive place to stay.
“April in Paris”
The rooms are small, but that's Paris. Location excellent-close to metro, train, and Starbucks! The front desk personnel were kind and helpful. They stored our luggage the day we checked out for the afternoon/evening. It was clean and quaint.
“Tiny rooms in great location”
The rooms were what you would expect from a 3 star hotel in the center of Paris. The twin room was a small double bed and a cot. The room was very hot so had the portable fan going all night (thus earplugs may be required). The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is situated close to the centre. The Galleries Lafayette is around 10-15 minute walk away.
“Just right”
The rooms are small and basic, but the location - just off the Blvd Haussmann - is very good for the price. My room was clean and the large fan was a godsend in sweltering summer temperatures. For the budget traveller who just needs a place to hang their hat in the centre of Paris, you probably won't do much better. Friendly staff, too.
“reasonable hotel”
This hotel was quite small, and the rooms were quite small especially for three people. However the hotel was one road down from Gare St Lazare and within walking distance of the Champs Elysee. Overall the hotel was in good location, it was very clean, although abit outdated. For the price and location, we would come back again.
“Excellent location”
Extremely convenient location, helpful and friendly staff. Room rather small, but clean. Tea and coffee making facilities were available.
