Quirky and French

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Good location for checking out lots of Paris attractions. Not too touristy so local cafés less pricey. Met our needs really well and the room was top notch and well presented. Would definitely book again.

Location down town Paris

Posted 03-Jul-2014
Pros: The staff was excellent, polite and humble. French people are normally a little arrogant.
Location: As mentioned above, the location is perfect. It´s close to Louvre museum, Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur, Eiffel Tower, River Seine etc.
The location was perfect, easy connection to all interesting objects to see. 100 m to Metro and bus. As the hotel is located in the central part of Paris the romos are small, but for two persons and a stay less tan one week it´s more than OK.

Beautiful hotel

Posted 26-Jun-2014
Pros: Although the rooms are small the decor is beautiful, the staff are helpful and friendly Overall a very pleasant stay
Location: Access to metro links, restaurants, clothes shops and major attractions
Beautiful hotel, friendly helpful staff If you are travelling on public transport it is very close to Strasbourg St Denis Metro Station - literally a stones throw away. It is also accessible from Bonne Nouvelle. It is connected to a variety of restaurants, clothes shops and pharmacies. The hotel is within walking distance to the Louvre - about 40 minutes, also the Champs Élysées and Eiffel Tower depending on how much walking you like to do :) Great location, quaint hotel beautiful decor. Rooms are small but would highly recommend

Posted 10-Jun-2014
Pros: Good location, very habdy for the metro
Location: Just off the Boulevard Bonne Nouvelle, it is a 20 minute wall to the Bourse/Opera area and 30 minutes to the Louvre.
The hotel is unpreposessing but is a porfectly good base for a break in Paris.

Comfortable and affordable

This hotel was very central located to a lot the sights we were interested in, usually along the same #4 line or just one change away. Lots of nearby restaurants within walking distance as well as shops. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff was helpful and attentive. Our room keys kept getting messed up but that was the only blip in a generally good time.

Stay away

Horrible service. How this hotel has 4 stars is beyond me. The staff seem nice at first but they were not helpful at all. The rooms are much smaller than they appear in the pictures. There was a pile of dust in the corner of the toilet room as if the person sweeping just left it there. There was dried old gum on the carpet in our room. There were no drawers to keep anything in so it was even harder to manage the small space be ause we had to leave our suitcase out. The woman working the breakfast bar said it was free. After getting our food (consisting of two croissants, a cup of juice, and a slice of fruit each) we found out it was not free, but actually 8 euros per person. 16 euros for that?? That's more than 20 USD for 4 croissants and some juice. There was a bakery across the street that I would have rather gone to where we could get more than enough to leave us full and happy for 8 euros total. I told the person at the front desk that I was upset because had my husband and I known the price we would have eaten elsewhere and he shrugged. I said the lady working said it was free and he said well she doesn't speak English, you should have asked me. If she doesn't speak English she should direct us to someone else so we could ask. He didn't care. I complained about this again the next day when checking out and he shrugged as well and did not care that someone had told us it was free. They were very rude about it. I would not stay here again.
