“If you're a cardboard box freak....”
This place is undergoing refurbishment (according to a notice in the lift it should have finished in August, so something must have gone wrong). On arrival there were cardboard boxes outside the hotel and in the foyer, which we had to fight our way through. On departure, the painters were coming in. Reception staff were OK, but I've come across better. Breakfast room adjoining reception is servicable but if all guests pile in together it gets crowded! Room was modern & decor wasn't bad but everything felt cramped. Bathroom was functional and clean - bathplug (actually combined shower/bath) didn't close adequately. We had to ask for coffee as there was only tea provided at first - and no milk at all. The location isn't bad - near Versailles Avenue with several shops and eateries within easy reach. Metro is 5 minutes walk along the Av. in the direction of Parc Des Princes. This didn't bother us, although I know there are some who moan if the stops are not right outside the hotel door! Neither did we mind being "out of town" as it's cheaper and the Metro will soon whizz you to places of interest. That said regarding cheapness, I don't think this hotel is true value for money. Last year we stayed in Budapest for roughly the same money as this holiday & the hotel was practically business class with a spacious bedroom and efficient bar.
“could,nt swing a cat”
tiny tiny room revamped on the cheap and I mean ultra cheap to try and copy boutique style hotel ,to say the least it does not work. Breakfast is rubbish and I can scoff anything at seventy five quid for a double for one night this is extortionate AND absolutely miles from the centre of everything
“Good Hotel”
This is a good hotel to stay at, the room was clean and well presented. unfortunately they have been doing some re-decorating of the hotel entrance and the stairs but i think this will be finished soon. Breakfast was good, which was contental. The hotel reception were helpful and helped guide us to the main sight seeing areas on a map provided by them.
“You get what you pay for.”
I chose this hotel as a single business traveller because Paris prices are sky-high and, since I was working rather than relaxing, I didn't want to spend too much. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very small with a very tiny loo/shower room (would suit contortionist). The bed was comfortable and a good size for a single but the TV was rubbish (terrible picture and not even free satellite channels). The shower rail was broken and the floor was obviously soaked on a regular basis. Breakfast was basic (continental) but quick and adequate. Overall not a luxurious stay, but it suited my needs.
“Paris for the budget conscious.”
Extremely helpful desk staff, who spoke english. Close to public transportation. Elevator for upper floors. Lots to do nearby, nice area. I'd highly recommend it.
“Quiet Getaway in Paris”
It was very late when we arrived. The hotel was tucked away in a cozy little side street off the avenue and we were checked in immediately. The clerk was so incredibly warm, friendly, welcoming and helpful and we felt right at home. The beds were pretty low to the ground and stiff, but we didn't care at that point, we were so tired. It was a very clean and quiet room in a very quiet, pretty, and friendly neighborhood. We had everything we needed and they offered quite a nice looking basic breakfast option in the morning. The shower took some getting used to, but it worked, so no complaints. Such a cozy gem in such a great neighborhood!
“The worst experience EVER”
We've been in places not as chic and glamourous as Paris and never ever ever had such a bad experience. Don't be fooled by the discount price, this hotel is just creepy. It's not convenient at all. Too far from the centre of Paris. Just one metro line to get there, nearly the last station!! The hotel itself... Well, there was a disgusting smell coming from the bathroom. Pip problems? Who can tell??? The walls were so thin that you think you're part of your neighbour conversation. The housekeeping loves to make as much as noise as possible in order to wake up you. Please, you already had to deal with the awful smell!!! Think twice before booking this hotel!! The only positive note: the front desk staff : so kind, helpfull and professional
“Classics Hotel Paris”
Very good value. Not the Hilton but everything the average traveler needs at a great price. A bit removed from the center (and the Eiffel Tower, despite the name), but not far from Metro (5 min walk). Very friendly personnel.
“Excellent Service”
My new wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Paris. The desk staff all spoke very good english and were extremly helpful. When we arrived we were clued in on the best way to get to the places we wanted to see. We were also given an excellent tip for lunch. The staff helped with supplying wine openers and on hand 24 hours a day. The rooms are exactly as advertised (small) but we knew that and spent little time there.
“Weekendje Parijs”
