A breath of fresh air

I was pleasantely welcomed by an upgrade upon my return to 9Hotel last Friday. They gave me a "Club room." It was quite spacious and much more quiet. I will most definitely return.

Good location

Posted 20-Aug-2014
Pros: The location, quiet street, cleanliness
Cons: The cleaning staff is quite noisy, and there is no parking attached to the hotel for those who rented a vehicle.
Location: Opera, grands magasins, movie theatres and much more.
It is a pleasant boutique hotel, on a quiet street; the breakfast was diversified and fresh. Very pretty dining room. Personnel was attentive and polite. The receptionist was diligent towards our need to check in very early after a transcontinental flight.

Friendly, helpful staff and convenient location.

Posted 14-Aug-2014
Pros: The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the modern, artistic decor.
Cons: The shower leaked no matter how careful we were, leaving water on the bathroom floor. There was a small amount of mold on one corner of the shower.
Location: There were several excellent restaurants nearby. The Metro stop is just a block away, and it is just a short ride to most sights in Paris.
The best thing about this hotel was the friendly, helpful staff. They all worked hard to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel is conveniently located in the Opera district and is clean and modern. It was the best hotel during our stay in France.

Perfect for solo traveller or couples

Being the type of person to skip the good reviews and only focus on the bad ones, I hope you do take the time to read this good one! I recently stayed here for 7 nights when I travelled to Paris by myself. It was perfect for what I needed. My standard room had a double bed, which was so comfortable it made it a struggle getting up in the morning! The bathroom was clean, and the shower great. I had air con in the room that worked. The room was small but I've heard that's pretty standard unless you want to start paying £200 a night. It's 10 min walk from Gard du Nord, and 10-15 from Galaries Lafayette. And Cadet metro is literally across the road. There's cafes and patisserie all along Rue Lafayette, and more in the side streets, so it's great for exploring and taking the back roads on your way to see the sights. I was a girl travelling by myself for the first time and I felt really safe. Rue Lafayette is busy and there was always plenty of people around. The staff were helpful, happy to help with my metro/direction issues, and they spoke good English. This hotel is perfect if you want to go out from morning til night, and only want to sleep and shower in your room. I got to know the area well on my week of exploring and see no reason why I wouldn't say here next time I visit.

Great in every aspect

We will definitely come back to stay at the hotel on our next visit to Paris. The hotel is in a great position; we walked everywhere as it takes 10-30 minutes to get to the main attractions and main shopping areas. There are several metro stations to choose from within 2-10 minutes from the hotel and because it's just off Rue de Lafayette, taxis drive past all the time. It was clean, hotel staff super friendly and the rooms extremely comfortable and spacious for European standard. Breakfast was good with a good variety, although we only had it in our last day and wish we had done so most days.

Very small room, as any other European for these prices, but clean and good service. Walking distance to Galeries Lafayette. Would stay here again if needed.
