It is an old establishment and needs a lot of renovation. It is kept very clean, breakfast was reasonable. The service was good even though we would prefer somewhat more smiling faces. The view from the hotel's porch & verandas was really astounding. We shall definitely visit again.

True Switzerland
It was an amazing experience, the hotel is a treasure and every corner tells a different story. The fact that the hotel owners are themselves involved and taking personal care of every detail is truly amazing. The rooms are impressively clean and the atmosphere is elegant and cozy.

We had an adjoining suit which was divided from the other room only by 2 wooden doors. And we heard literally everything what happend in the other room. Slide door to the bathroom is heavy, ancient and rattling. Giving the soundproofness of the room the whole hotel can hear how you go to bathroom in the middle of the night. But the hotel is very beautiful and atmospheric. Common areas are very nice. View from our room and dining area is amazing.

Best location in Platres
The location is fantastic, quiet in the woods and at the same time close to all restaurants and coffee shops. The staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast is OK and the view from the restaurant is stunning. The rooms are very clean and so is the restaurant . I will certainly go there again and again ...

In the middle of nature
The view was stunning, from the room and from the balcony, just had to open the door to have all those trees and mountains just in front of me. The fresh air full of oxygen, and all the surrounding nature helped me recharge my batteries . The hotel is quite close to restaurants, cafés etc.

Quirky charm
Beautiful old fashioned hotel, with a quirky charm about it. Fabulous location. Very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are in need of a bit of an update though.

Grand old hotel in incredible setting
Beautiful old hotel set in wonderful scenery. Building had the feel of an Agatha Christie novel: wooden panels, veranda for drinks, old furniture and setup as a county retreat which gave it a real charm. The bedrooms each had a lovely small balcony. The rooms are a little tired with the bathrooms in need of some modernisation. Village with great restaurants as well as a scenic waterfall are both just a short walk away.

Old fashioned charm in the Troodos Mountains
A lovely old fashioned place, perched above the village of Platres in the wonderful Troodos mountains. The room was simply furnished, the 'dobule' bed two singles pushed together. No airconditioning, but not required, given the cool mountain air. The furniture and fittings are a bit dated but not a problem, the shower water went cold for a day and had to be fixed. The balcony was charming with a lovely few into the trees. Service was good, as you would expect from a family run place, with a well stocked bar. The breakfast was good, and dinner was available some nights. Wifi coverage on the 2nd floor was non-existent, but very strong by the bar and on the terrace adjacent. The hotel is a short walk into town below and 5 minutes to the Psilo Dendro restaurant and beginning of the Kaledonia falls walk up the hill. We enjoyed our stay and would go back.

Nice cozy old hotel in beautiful surroundings
Friendly folks at the reception. Rather beautiful surroundings, with all the trees in the hills. The hotel looks like a heritage building, with stone walls. There's a nice verandah balcony adjacent to the restaurant where we had breakfast. The common spaces near the reception look and feel cozy.

The hotel is not up to date in almost every way. The facilities and food were below expectations across the board. If someone invested some energy and money into it, it could be very nice.

Faded grandeur - should be so much better!
This is definite faded grandeur. The ground floor looks and feels beautiful but the rest of the hotel is tatty - not helped by a lack of cleaning In some of the common parts. Staff were slightly taciturn, but we went out of season and they might have been busy doing other things. The location though is fantastic and, crucially, there is a good breakfast! This hotel could be so much better with some love. As it is, it is over priced.

Great start point for mountain treks
The hotel is pretty basic but functional.... Close to restaurants and to mountain tracks..., like Caledonia trail.

Very disappointed as this hotel was over price for it is very dirty rooms we where not given the room we booked for we booked a junior suit and we where given a massonettes very dirty housekeeping was only collection of bath towels and breakfast was very basic don't recommend this hotel we been to cyprus now for 4 weeks and stayed in severel hotels with higher standards and much more cheaper this hotel should only be rated as a back packers accomodation the hotel was run by 3 people a son his 80 year old mother and another staff member with no service at all

Good location in the Troodos.The hotel has no lift so luggage for the second floor should be accessed at the rear of the hotel[the staff did not tell us].No WiFi.Rooms small for 3* hotelHot buffet cold on first day, none existant on third day[limited choice]Good parking.

Hot water was luke warm at best and given that it was a cold time of year, a cold shower was not a welcome option. We stayed two nights and the issue was not resolved. The hotel must have seen better days. Staff were however polite and helpful.

We had a great time, very cozy, warm environment and decoration that makes up the cold weather outside. Uncountable things to do in the area including mountain biking, nature trail walking and much more

Gemütliches Hotel in den Bergen
Wir haben das Hotel als Basis für Ausflüge ins Troodos-Gebirge genutzt. Das stilvolle, gemütliche Ambiente (eröffnet 1929) hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Hotel liegt mitten in Pinienwäldern. Schöne Aussicht von der Terrasse. Sehr freundliches Personal. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet.

Wonderful stay
This hotel is a beautiful old-school building, right on the mountain. The trees are surrounding you, and the Cyprus hospitality is uncomparable! We loved it! A «  transylvania hotel » expérience.

Общее положительное впечатление от месторасположения. Приятный винтажный стиль. Не навязчивый сервис. Минусы: Нет чайника. Холодильника. Wi-fi только в фойе и то с перебоями. Штора в ванной закрывает на дну треть. Нет мыла шампуня. Маленькая парковка. Плюсы: тишина. Лесной воздух. Доброжелательный персонал.
