No beach with possibility to swim in the sea !

Posted 07-Jun-2015
Pros: Location and view
Cons: Food quality
Location: Many restaurants around
The hotel itself is not bad. The room has no good curtains to prevent the light: just 80%. Sea view is nice but no possibility to swim in the sea. Food quality either for breakfast or dinner is no more than 5/10 as it is an all inclusive hotel style. Employees are so friendly. They send some one outside the hotel at midnight to buy for us a spray to kill the many Mosquitos in our room as no devices were available in the room.

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing to stay at the Louis Imperial Beach and for posting a review online. It is delightful that you were satisfied with the friendliness and service of our staff, but we are sorry to read that not everything met with your expectations. However, we would like to respectfully disagree with your rating of 5/10 for our cuisine, as it is one of the many aspects that receive high praise, not only for flavour but also variety in its buffet setting. We hope that despite your dissatisfaction, you will still grace Louis Hotels with another visit in the future. Kind regards, Management

Lovely hotel just a short ride from the airport

Posted 04-Apr-2015
Pros: The friendliness of staff and varied activities on offer
Cons: Wifi free in the bedrooms
Location: Paphos harbour and town within walking distance but bus easily accessible. Cheap car hire takes you further afield or organised coach trips.
As a woman in my mid 60's this hotel is great. There was a warm welcome from staff with a glass of champagne and information about activities, etc. The hotel is spacious, clean with a varied programme of supervised activities 6 days out of 7. I was made to feel welcome at everything I tried. My gorgeous room had sea view. There are plenty of sun loungers around 2 outside pools as well as inside around the indoor pool if time alone is wanted. There is a path by the sea well used by guests of all the hotels along this stretch of coastline where I felt quite safe walking alone. In March many of the guests are of mature years and generally there is a friendliness. Quizzes, bingo and a varied evening programme of entertainment from a friendly entertainment team. The food is plentiful and delicious, with a different theme each evening, no-one would leave hungry. I can't wait to save up to return.

Hotel Bookings

Posted 28-Mar-2015
Pros: The staff and cleanliness throughout.
Cons: Make sure that clients get what they paid for and not over book
Location: The location is good and after a good walk to the harbour not a lot, so we hired a car for 3 days
On arrival we were informed that the room we had booked (sea view) and paid for, was not available until the fourth day. Offers were made to compensate but we don't drink alcohol and the internet was free in the lobby so we settled for bottled water in the room and at dinner each night, and a safe key, it also happened to a couple of young ladies on their first night. The food was typical of this type of hotel with buffet service - however the breakfast was quite good. A good walk along the front to the harbour was enjoyable from right outside the hotel.

Dear Guest We appreciate that you chose to stay at the Louis Imperial Beach and thank you for sharing your view of your holiday experience, online. It saddens us that we were not able to help start your visit with us on a good note, which ultimately led to a mediocre holiday. Please accept our apologies for this and trust that we made every effort to make things better. We hope that we will be given another chance to provide the quality of service we are known for at the Louis Imperial Beach and if so, we will be only too happy to welcome you back. Kind regards, The Management

Great beach-side hotel

Posted 09-Aug-2012
Pros: Friendliness of staFF
Cons: Entertainment
Location: Very convenient, on the beach, on bus routes
The only disappointment, not the hotel's fault, was the very poor standard of the entertainment. It was all aimed at children, even at 11pm!

Making the most of your Louis Imperial Hotel Stay

Posted 19-Feb-2012
Pros: The breakfast
Cons: Hotel Sheets
Location: Its not bad, if you don't mind a 20 min stroll into town.
Good points : very clean, good location, good breakfast, nice bar area, well kept gardens. Bad points : bedroom furiture is very dated, the TV (in our room) was about 20 years old, very few TV channels also (only 2 british ones), the sheets had so much starch on them we both found sleeping on them hard on our skin. Overall, its fairly cheap and we would stay there again, although I think we both said we would take our own sheets next time. PS: The coast walk to the town is lush and takes about 20min's but remember in the winter months get back before the sun goes down as the temperatures drop rapidly. Also, a good tip is the buy an all day bus ticket for 2 euros, it stops just outside the hotel and is fab for getting around Paphos. I'm now rambling, but have a drink in "Michaels" bar down the road, the owner is lovely and will really make you feel at home, and have a chinese in the "Imperial Chinese" just as you arrive into town, up some posh steps on the first floor, the food and atmosphere is superb.

The hotel needs serious renovation but the staff were very nice.

Posted 12-Dec-2011
We booked four rooms in this hotel for a wedding. I was shocked to see the condition of the hotel knowing it was a four star hotel. It was not. The hallways and rooms were dirty and had the smell of mold and cigarettes. We found a roach in the bathroom. The first night was horrible until we were transferred the second day to a sister hotel which was recently renovated. The staff were very nice but don't go there until they renovate the hotel.

Nice hotel

Posted 31-May-2011
We stayed at the Louis Imperial for 3 nights in May. Generally happy with the hotel, the actual hotel was lovely and looked like it had recently been updated however the rooms are in need of refurbishment. Decor was outdated and the bedding was a bit grubby. The pool was great (if a little chilly!) and there were plenty of sunbeds for everyone however we went at a quieter time of year. We were bed and breakfast although we did eat at the hotel's restaurant at lunchtime everyday as they had a snack bar menu. Food was good with plenty of choice for breakfast.

The Luis Imperial Hotel in Paphos, Cyprus

Posted 12-Mar-2011 on Hotels
In general our stay in Luis Imperial Hotel was good. The staff was very willing to help and always smile. However the sauna was not hot enough even though we had booked in advance. The animation staff was very pleasant and joyfull. The food was very good with a satisfatory variety of choice.

Imperial Hotel - just in the right place to start

Posted 09-Mar-2011 on Hotels
Very warm welcome, which makes you feel like 'great I am in holidays now'. The hotel and the room was very clean and comfortable for us and our 1 year old baby. I just call and ask for a baby cot and it was there. Very rich and tasty breakfast with a very kind stuff! We also ate a dinner at a very good price and it was really tasty and the quantity was much more than enough - recommended delicious!!! The indoor pool and Jacuzzi could be a bit more cleanly. The jacuzzi was a bit old and the inside of it was a bit dirty - is the only disadvantage I found.
