“The hotel needs serious renovation but the staff were very nice.”
We booked four rooms in this hotel for a wedding. I was shocked to see the condition of the hotel knowing it was a four star hotel. It was not. The hallways and rooms were dirty and had the smell of mold and cigarettes. We found a roach in the bathroom. The first night was horrible until we were transferred the second day to a sister hotel which was recently renovated. The staff were very nice but don't go there until they renovate the hotel.
“Nice hotel”
We stayed at the Louis Imperial for 3 nights in May. Generally happy with the hotel, the actual hotel was lovely and looked like it had recently been updated however the rooms are in need of refurbishment. Decor was outdated and the bedding was a bit grubby. The pool was great (if a little chilly!) and there were plenty of sunbeds for everyone however we went at a quieter time of year. We were bed and breakfast although we did eat at the hotel's restaurant at lunchtime everyday as they had a snack bar menu. Food was good with plenty of choice for breakfast.
“Great holiday based at Louis Imperial Beach Hotel”
My husband and I have just returned from Paphos and really enjoyed the area and particularly the location of the hotel. The hotel provides an excellent breakfast which we were able to enjoy sitting near the pool. We chose not to go half board as we thought we would enjoy eating out.The walk from the hotel into Paphos is absolutely beautiful. The sun sets over the bay in front of you as you walk in. The walk takes about 20 minutes but is a bit of exercise we welcomed after resting in the heat. Paphos has some amazing sights which are not immediately evident. We asked if there was a church where we could go to mass on the Sunday. We were directed to an archeological site behind Debenhams with a small very old church on the site. Mass there was very special and memorable. There is the whole area of Roman remains on the north side of the Fort which again is interesting. The hotel puts on entertainment is the evenings which was quite simple but very pleasant and fun the twice we went. There is a central outdoor pool, an indoor heated pool and also a small little beach cove just beside the hotel. In fact we felt looking at the other hotels as we walked in Paphos that The Louis Imperial garden had more Palm trees and the chairs were more spread out. This meant a lot more privacy and comfort. We did two excursions which we enjoyed - a safari and a tour of limassol. Also you can get a bus from the road in front of the hotel. The buses run every few minutes.
“Grat value”
The rooms at this hotel are fairly basic, but comfortable. Could do with some updating. Nice balcony. Kettle was provided. Breakfast buffet very good with lots of choice and lots of seat. It is also possible to sit outside. The big bonus in this hotel is the outside areas. Lovely grass area overlooking beach with plenty of sunbeds. Safe swimming in cove. Small but clean beach. There is a really nice walkway along the beach all the way to Paphos town. It takes approx 1/2 hr to walk there. Lots of activities in the hotel. I recommend the aqua aerobics. Small supermarket outside the hotel. Plenty of nearby restaurants and bars. Great value for money.
“Our first visit to Cyprus”
This was our first visit to Cyprus. Our aim was to combine seeing as much of Paphos as possible, with sun, some good local wine and food and a comfortable hotel. We achieved all that we wanted. The weather in April suited us perfectly. We hired a car which gave us freedom and the ability to travel all round the western half of Cyprus. The Louis Imperial was perfect for our needs. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The hotel had plenty of facilities such as the gym, indoor and oudoor pools, relaxing bar and coffee lounge. The gardens were a great pleasure to relax in on our days off from sightseeing. The location suited us as not being too close to the town centre but within easy walking distance to the harbour and fort. Breakfast was served in a fairly large dining room and the quality was superb with as much as you could eat. We only had one dinner at the hotel and although the food was equally as good as breakfast it lacked the ambiance of a smaller restaurant. This was not important becasuse there are numerous restaurants within 500m of the hotel serving Cyprus, French, Italian, Greek, Japanese ect food so we were spoiled for choice. The hotel staff were always friendly, helpful and efficient. Overall it was great value for money, we had a truly memorable holiday and would certainly go back to this hotel
