Our room was fairly small, the breakfast was not worth the 10€, the staff was reacting rather reluctant to any requests. The sauna / fitness room was overbooked and the 30 minutes slot we got was not very relaxing. No additional towels for the sauna either.
We loved this hotel; it is slightly out of the village although within walking distance of the centre, and has glorious views of the mountains in all directions. The swimming pool and hot tub are a delight after a strenuous walk, and the small terrace has sun loungers for relaxing. The staff are hard working and helpful, and everything is very clean. The restaurant serves excellent food, and we chose to eat there on three of our four nights. Breakfast is a generous buffet, and the staff will cook your egg exactly as you like it. It is an ideal centre for walking, and for many walks you do not need to use the car. Just the place if you want a peaceful retreat at a moderate price.

Very nice hotel. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Can't comment on restaurants as we are both vegetarian and there wasn't really a great veggie offering. This is true of France in general so is not particularly a criticism of this hotel. From what we could see of the menus the other food did look good.
My one disappointment was the size of the room. It was clean and the shower/bathroom very good but for the sort of money charged I would not expect a cramped room. Fortunately I did not need to swing any cats. Everything else about the hotel, including the pool and saunas, was very good.

"Gem of a hotel in Chatel nr. to Le Chatel DH Park"
Fantastic location easy walking distance (5 mins) to Chatel center, bike rentals, etc. Talk to the owners and they'll recommend bike shops, swimming pool, etc (discount access to pool in Chatel and lifts for hiking at Le Chatel). Buy DH Bike tickets at Le Chatel itself. Free bus takes riders (and hikers) plus bikes to the lifts.
Hotel is clean and rooms are well outfitted. Most have a great mountain view and a calming stream runs down the side of the property, so blocks and normal hotel noise. Very relaxing to wake up to in the morning.
Hotel breakfast is plentiful, in the classic French style (coffee etc., croissant, bread and jam, juice) plus cereal and pastry options at the buffet. Good value too, compared with other locations.
Restaurant has a very unique menu, with specials varying daily. Don't expect burger and fries, but instead true French imagination (fondue, quiche, etc.) with reasonable (although not cheap) prices. Local selection of wines available too. Well worth it for anyone except the super-budget traveler.
Hotel and restaurant staff speak English very adequately, but will happily talk with you in French and won't automatically switch to English if you struggle a little, but they will help you along. We found this refreshing when trying to use our 30 year out-of-date school French. Menus are in French (maybe they have a hidden English one for those that need it, but we didn't want it and it wasn't offered thank goodness!).

The hotel is 100 yards from the Linga lift, right in the middle of the Porte de Solei ski area. Its perfect for good skiers, but probably not the right place for beginners, since the skiing is limited if you are uncomfortable with a slightly tricky red run to get back at the end of the day... If that doesn't bother you, then Linga is better connected with the rest of the ski area than the main "Super-Chatel" part.
This is a fantastic location. Great value and does the job!
We booked a 1 bedroom apartment in the Saskia. When we checked in they had a mix up and had 2 reservations under my name. after about 45 mins they eventually gave us the keys to a room - in the next door Malinka. We trapsed over with all our luggage only to find it was a studio. i.e. 2 single sofa beds in lounge, and 1 bunk bed in the entrance near door. Fine if thats what you have booked - but as we were a group of 4 adult women, not suitable and not what we booked.
After another 45 minutes of explaining and standing firm - we eventually got the keys to another room. All fine. it was a 1 bed apartment.
make sure you get what you book!
After that initial problem all was fine. these are basic but well equipped clean apartment right on the edge of the slope. We would definitely come back here. View was amazing.
all the bedding and towels were clean - towels come in a sealed packet. kitchen has microwave, fridge, dishwasher and hob. we did eat in 2 of the 4 nights and breakfast everyday. a little box is provided which contained cleaning things - clothes, dishwasher tablets, liquid.plenty for our 4 night stay.
Toilet was separate from bathroom - again good, so we werent fighting over it when someone was in shower!
There's a secure ski room - each room has its own key to a large tall locker to put skis after a day on the slopes. plenty of room for 4 sets.
right near various bars, restaurants and a supermarket.

This accommodation was a great find, we had beautiful views over the Morzine valley from the balcony. It was in the sleepier part of the resort but only 5 mins walk into the busier part. The staff were very helpful and informative, nothing was too much trouble.
The 2 bedroom apartment we had was perfect and very spacious, we were a party of 4, if there had of been 5/6 people we would have needed a 3 bedroom otherwise the lounge/dining area needs to be slept in.
It was on the whole mostly clean but the bedroom was sooooo warm; the window in one of the rooms did not open in the same way as the other room, it just 'flapped' and did not lock into place! Not a fan either of the continental square pillows! The spa/sauna and hammam was a welcome treat after a day on the slopes if only the pool was a warm as the bedrooms!
Overall taking away the nit picking, it was a fabulous accommodation and we will be back!
Lovely friendly hotel in an excellent location.
Staff could not be friendlier and helpful.
Public rooms great including an open fire.
Room was very spacious and comfortable though the décor is a little tired.
