“Very nice and clean!”
The hotel was great, we had what we thought was an updated room cause it was very nice, the bed was GREAT, our view was nice although wish we could've seen the sunset. Cons: When windy there is a nasty swirling noise that occurs and woke me, no close ice machine, floors are tile and become nasty with sand easily. Would definitely go again, but I want our same room!
“Not Impressed”
This is not a 'hotel' but is rather a condo for rent. It only makes sense if you have a car; don't even think about staying here without one as restaurants and services are a hike and taxis are scarce. The facility offers no real 'comforts' of its own - you can't even get a coffee in the morning without making the trek to WalMart. Elevator service is awful, so if you're on a higher floor be ready to be patient. I wouldn't recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for something central, convenient, clean or efficient. If there is a bright spot it's that the staff were all friendly and tried to be helpful.
“Don't get duked!”
When we booked the Oasis at Pamana it was based mostly on the beautiful pictures of the pool (and it lived up to that, just a beautiful pool). We were unaware the hotel charges an additional fee to clean your room. This would have been fine and good had they actually cleaned the room. Carpet was dirty, the room never was serviced during our stay and we even had the honor of taking our trash to the trash shoot. This was far from my expectations of a resort! The bed was as hard as the floor and the pillows were flat. Felt like a cheep motel. We plan on a return visit, however we will be staying somewhere else.
“WoW”
We stayed here for a long weekend. It is a beautiful facility. In the middle of everything. Beautiful, huge pool area. Next door to "Pineapple Willies." On the beach with a great view from all the rooms.
“IN PANAMA THIS IS A GOOD HOTEL”
We will go back to the Shores of Panama by Oaseas Resorts the next time we vacation in Panama city beach Fl. Staff was nice, the room was good but carbet needed to be clean. The hotel rates a eight out of ten being great. Aug. 2011
“Not all that Impressed!”
While this resort was big and nice, the rooms were disgustingly dirty. I had to go out and buy cleaner with bleach to clean the kitchen, bathrooms and the floors. Then when I checked out they charged me a $90.00 cleaning fee! Seriously, I should have charged them!!!! Also, did not like the fact that everything either closed at 7pm or 10 pm. I mean really! People go on vacation and want to swim til midnight or so, not have to go in at 10! The pool was great however, it needed cleaned as well!
“Nice Hotel”
The hotel was a very nice stay, i stayed in the two-bedroom with bunkroom. The pool and the beahc were awesome, the elevators and the parking garage is the only downfall to the place that i seen, and they were not too bad, just took a litttle extra time to go where you needed, overall i would stay here again.
“Perfect Getaway for families with children”
This is a great place to visit. The elevators are slow as mentioned in other reviews, but no so much to put a damper on things. Your not going to get a pool chair here or anywhere else unless you get out to the pool before 10, again, not really an issue. The view is awesome, the staff friendly, facilities clean, and the pool is fabulous. The beach is fantastic. There are rental chairs and umbrellas. The Parasailing, Jet Ski and Banana boat ride Rental station right there on location, but out of the way as not to disturb those swimming. This is a condo complex not a hotel, there is no daily room service and that worked just fine for the 6 of us. I had read other reviews of this location and was quite skeptical, but It succeeded all of my expectations. We will definately visit here again.
“GO DURING THE OFF SEASON”
Resort is very nice, but too big for the area. Planners should have included several more elevators. Often takes up to 20 minutes to get on one and when you do, you will need another shower upon exiting. There are air vents, but they apparently do not work properly. The pool is very nice, but chair space is limited unless you get down to them before 8:30 am. The number of guests greatly outnumber the number of chairs offered. We were told that there were more than 200 empty rooms by a maintenance worker. I cannot imagine the elevator and pool space problems there would have been at full capacity. On another note, the beach was very disappointing. It needs a lot of work to be able to claim "The world's most beautiful beach." The area in front of the resort was crowded with permanently set up rental chaise/umbrellas. Few were actually rented/used during our stay. There was no slope to the sand. There was an approximately 8 inch "drop-off" from the sand into the water. Guests were sitting in the water in their chairs making it impossible to walk along the beach. We hadn't been to PC in twelve years and were told by many that we would love it. Unfortunately, we did not and do not plan to return anytime soon. The area has been overdeveloped. Pier Park is just another shopping center, across from the beach. Traffic is a nightmare. It's no wonder that the smaller beaches to each side of PC are drawing families. We will stay on the East coast from now on.We miss the old PCB.
“Not impressed...or well informed...”
First impression was great...front desk was wonderful, check-in great, even added an extra day (which we later removed without much hassle). However, we were not informed that there would be no housekeeping (clean towels, extra toilet paper, etc) and there were not even enough towels in the room for our family of 6. So after a trip to Publix (because Walmart was complete chaos!!!) we had stocked up on essentials. We had to wash towels daily due to the lack of...that put a damper on my (Mom's) end of vacation! Lots of rain gave us lots of time in the room, and when it only sprinkled we ventured to the pools (which were very nice...except the one day it was sunny and EVERYONE came out!) There was extreme over crowding in the pool and on the beach in front of the resort. Not to mention that you could not even get into the ocean due to the seaweed issue. I met several people that were leaving to go to smaller resorts or hotels because of the over crowding. Overall...not a memorable vacation...which was sad because I love PCB and have never had an experience like this one.
