“Pass this one by”

The rooms were poorly cared for, with damaged outlets and musty smells. We were handed room keys that had an incorrect room number labeled on them. 6 miles away from Hershey, it had an OK location, but paled in comparison with other local hotels.

“Could've been better”

Price was very competitive but the housekeeping could've been better. Ad said there was a complimentary breakfast but all that was there was cereal. If you're looking for a cheap motel and don't mind staying at a not so fancy hotel then this one is your place.

Dining

Lots of nice restaurants in this area. Definitely try Duke's Bar & Grill, great food, great prices.

“I don't think so”

This is an older hotel, the walls are thin, the traffic is heard along with the trains. The pillows were flat. There was no alarm clock. I wouldn't call the coffee & packaged muffins a plus.

“Basic, but worth it”

Basic room, just what you would expect for the price, but more importantly, not less. The bonus: the owner's are honest.

“Great quality for low price.”

Great experience for the price. For such a cheap rate, everything was fantastic. The hotel had been recently renovated and our room was clean and didn't have any strange smells. The "continental breakfast" was small, as expected. The only downside was that they must put out the same food each morning for the breakfast, as our donuts were hard and stale! On the second morning, donuts were fresh... Nice area, and friendly staff.

“Pleasently Surprised!”

The hotel was recently renovated and everything was new and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Complied with our request for 2 rooms next to each other. I checked the bedbug registry and it came up clear. Great value for the money. Nothing fancy but a very safe, clean place to sleep after a tiring day of having fun at Hershey park. Restaurants were close by and convenient too.

Area recommendations

PA is an old state and it's towns reflect older buildings. It is quaint and reminds one of their home towns if they grew up in rural areas. We didn't drive through other parts of the town, as the hotel was right on the main roadway, very conveniet to Hershey Park. It was nice looking at older homes as they are very well kept. We felt safe and relaxed during our whole time there.

When to go

We went in September when Hershey Park rates were down. There were lots of people but no line waiting was more than 15-30- min. wait and that was only for 2-3 main rides. Weather isn't as hot and the foliage in the park was still in bloom and very attractive to walk around in.

“nice experience”

We went there because we were going to be at Hershy Parrk for 3 days. It was in a nice location ans they were able to upgrade us to 2 queen size beds since a rollaway couldn't be accomadated. It was clean, beds were comfortable. The conentinatal breakfast was rather small and didn't really have anything other then coffee,jiuce, cereal and small muffins. I had brought my own stuff for that reason. I had a toaster but had to use of only one plug since the one near the door didn't work the other wasn't much better. The pool was great. We all had a great time
