short taxi ride from the airport and easy to walk to Sea Cathedral and the old town walking tour. Staff were very friendly and helpful, I had to ask for a mattress topper as the bed, though comfortable, was a little too firm for me, this was done promptly. Room was on first floor overlooking the courtyard, some music heard till 11pm or so but it didn't bother us as not from our hotel. Large bathroom with rainfall shower. We ate in various restaurants which were all close by as the hotel is centrally situated a few steps from the Passeig de Born shopping area. We also ate in the hotel dining room on our last night (sadly it rained so couldn't eat in the gorgeous outdoor courtyard) and the waiters were excellent and food very tasty, better than one of the highly recommended restaurants we tried. The Tiramisu was made at the table and was huge, enough for 4, nice wines and reasonably prices. Breakfast was buffet style and had enough choices to suit most tastes. Very good hotel in an excellent location.

If you’re looking to stay in Palma and want a beautiful hotel in a prime location to reach all the sights, then I would fully recommend Hotel Born! We could not have asked for a better hotel to be honest. It was clean, had friendly staff and was so close to the main shopping district where there were loads of places to choose to eat from. And when we wanted something a bit less touristy, we were able to walk less than 15 mins to other parts of the town.

I’ve been staying here for many years - long before it became so posh. It is no longer the low-cost option it was due to becoming a 4* hotel, but the staff and location (obviously!) are as good as ever. I’m not so keen on the ‘mood music’ they now have in the upstairs lounge - it doesn’t really match the 16th-century interior. The new bar in the central courtyard was closed when we were there, so I was unable to try that. The dark green walls are very stylish and the improved aircon is most welcome.

Beautiful historic palace converted into this fantastic hotel. All staff (including the cleaning staff) couldn't be more helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent location in Palma Old Town. Amazing breakfast and fine dining in the evening if required. Our second time at this hotel and won't be out last. A great treasure in Palma.

Beautiful hotel situated in the heart of Palma Staff in the hotel and restaurant were wonderful. Recommend you eat in the courtyard restaurant. Great food and atmosphere. The only downside for me was the small double bed.

From the moment we arrived the service was wonderful. Unfortunately, I didnt get the name of the man who checked us in, but upon hearing it was my husband's birthday, he arrived at our room 5 minutes later with a bottle of cava and 2 glasses, a lovely touch and much appreciated. Beautifil room in a beautiful setting. Great location for shopping and restaurants, everything walkable. The courtyard where the bar is situated is a beautiful setting for pre dinner drinks. We had a truly wonderful stay and will definitely be returning.

The property is an old Moroccan house with the beautiful inner courtyard and nice old furniture in nooks and crannies. It is a quiet place to stay right in the Old District next to great restaurants. There is no elevator although the staff can help bring up your luggage. We stayed on the third floor. Tricky place to get to. We saw taxis bringing people from the airport. We had our car and came off the 10 pm ferry. We also knew there was no parking so found a spot and then scrambled on foot to find the hotel. Gps not so good since there are so many little laneways. Get a city map instead. From there we did day trips to Rafa Nadal’s Museum (saw him practicing) and beaches at the tip of the island with a couple of castles along the way. Well worth having a car. The countryside is muy hermoso.

A charming small hotel with helpful staff. The breakfast service is excellent and the rooms and public areas were clean and beautifully presented. It was everything we needed for a stopover and we wouldn't hesitate to return for a longer stay.

Fabulous traditional hotel in Palma old town. Full of character plus close to shops, restaurants port and cathedral. Breakfast, which we took in the beautiful courtyard was excellent. Easily reached by bus from airport. Would definately stay here again.

LOCATION The location of Hotel Born is very good. It is super close to everything in the town center. If you are driving a car here, the area is restricted so you must call the phone number posted on the street signs to make sure you aren’t fined. The street going to Hotel Born is VERY narrow. There is No Parking on site. Parking is several blocks down & then you must walk. Parking is about 24 euros per day. Hotel does not have an agreement with any garage for a lower rate. CHECK-IN Check-in was good. Kindly note that there is NO ELEVATOR. ROOM 1. If I could give the room 0 stars, I would. We booked on Expedia as we are Gold Members & made the booking for a Double Room. Do not be mislead by the pictures, this is an EXTREMELY small room. 2. It is also EXTREMELY loud. You can hear every single person who is walking up the stairs to their rooms or back out as the doors to the room have a lot of holes. Since our room is facing the street, you can also hear everyone who is walking on the street. This includes normal conversations, drunk people at night, cars, everyone. I can imagine since the breakfast is served in the interior courtyard that the rooms facing the interior are also loud. 3. The room is very dark. We could not even see what was in our suitcase as there is not adequate lighting in the room. 4. The bathroom shower is poorly designed and floods the bathroom every time you take a shower.

We stayed for 2 nights. The first night our room was directly above the bar/ kitchen area. We tried to change rooms but the hotel was full - there was only an inferior room with no opening window. We were assured that all serving/eating was finished by 12 and it would be quiet after this for guests to sleep. In this particular room, you hear all the noise of clearing up / bottles etc and it was noisy until 12.45. (It also had a bathroom door that didn't close properly). The second night we were moved to a room on the top floor by a very helpful and sympathetic member of staff. This was further away from kitchen / bar noise, but we could hear neighbours in an adjoining room having a conversation until about 2 in the morning. So we had 2 nights of poor sleep. If you are out until late you will probably be ok, but for us - too noisy. When we checked out, no-one at Reception asked about our stay.

Great Hotel
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Born. The hotel was well placed to enjoy Palma, it was exceptionally clean and our room was fine. I booked using mainly Tesco vouchers so I’m pretty sure that’s why we were in a basic room with no courtyard view. However the bed was very comfortable, the aircon was efficient and the bathroom large and well stocked. My main praise though would be for the very friendly and professional staff who did everything they could to make our stay easy and pleasant. I will definitely return when next in Palma

Set around a tranquil palm shaded courtyard the Born is a beautifully maintained old mansion in the heart of Palma's old town. Rooms are comfortably furnished with antique furniture. Good modern bathrooms. The only slight problem could be the lack of a lift but the helpful, friendly concierges will carry luggage and shopping upstairs. The Born is an oasis of calm and style.

Fabulous place
Fabulous hotel, restaurant, and staff. Stayed there while visiting family and they kindly allowed my father join me for breakfast for a supplement. Will definitely be booking when I visit again in spring! Can’t complement this hotel enough - beautiful place - Thank you! :-)

An exceptional hotel
This classy and elegant hotel is perfectly located. It’s situated in a historical building that really gives one a taste of Palma past. The staff, bar, rooms and breakfast were all amazing. It’s a new favourite that I plan to return to again - a 10 out of 10 for a romantic weekend break!!

Lovely hotel in great location
Hotel Born is a great place to stay, perfectly placed for exploring Palma. Our room was overlooking the courtyard and was very clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, lots of choice, could even have Buck’s Fizz if you wanted!
