“Very comfortable and convienent”
We chose this property for our home base for a recent golf trip. It is in a decent spot, and the villas were very nice. The only reason for not a 5 star is that the appliances and decor are just a tiny bit dated. Looks like the the last renovations were in the 90s. Even as such, we were comfortable and very happy with the accommodation. The master was separated from the rest of the condo by the bathroom and the sofa bed was even comfortable. One last nit pick, they rushed us out on our checkout date, even going to the extent of leaving a voice mail and telling us that there would be no late checkout and that we had to leave by 10:00 am. To top it off, the housekeepers started knocking on the door at 8:30 am, which was annoying!
“Comfortable Quarters”
Enjoyed a comfortable stay during a golf tournament. Hotel staff did their best to make the weekend enjoyable but the first evening was quite noisy with guests partying outside their rooms.
“Palm Springs”
The tram lift is a must see.
“Great Long Weekend!”
We had a fabulous time at the Westin Villas. The villa was great with all the amenities you need. There were plenty of pools to pick from as well as tennis courts and gyms. Great time!
“Family Westin Trip”
This is a great family resort! Once you get through check-in, this hotel offers everything you need to have fun with the whole family--water slides, spa, golf, kid's club, etc. There are two strikes I'll give this hotel. (1) The check-in process is a slow, unorganized, mistake prone process (for the 2nd year in a row). It would be nice if managment could tighten up the training and results in that department. (2) There was a religious conference happening at the main hotel during the week we we're there that required the main hotel's pool to be closed. As a result, anyone staying at that hotel came to our pool, which made it very crowded. Otherwise, it was a great experience.
“Can't Wait To Go Back”
I went with my friend, my teenage daughter and couple of her friends. we had the King villas close to the pools facing the golfcourse. We asked for extra sheets and they brought extra bed!! and left it for us at no charge,,the girls loved it, I loved the clean and efficient service, the bed was soooo comfy, next time i am taking my husband! great service...still did not like the 10:00 am check out and $15 parking fee!! but they were nice to let the girls use the pool even when we checked out....great place
“Good comfy place to stay”
We stayed in the villas. No complaints really. Great place to stay. Very relaxing. Housekeeping service was late in the afternoon which made it inconvenient after you'd been out all day to come back and find your room still to be made up. We called the front desk and they were able to make it happen one morning, but we felt we shouldn't have to make the call every day to ensure early housekeeping. One call should have been sufficient.
“living off their old reputation...”
Having stayed at Westin properties at other locations, this one was a bit of a disappointment. PRO'S: good pool w/cabanas, shuttles for the long distance between hotel and villas. Wait staff at hotel restaurant was helpful, quick, and efficient. Towel cabana staff and pool service staff were amazing! CONS: 1br villa room had a cramped layout where it was plainly obvious the architect was trying to squeeze one more villa out of the available space, slow check-in, hotel's restaurant food was just average considering the many GREAT dining options nearby for similar prices (grandpa said it best," Tamarisk has a chef, this place has a cook"), no elevator for 2nd level units, high pressure to buy into the starwood property timeshare-model. Surprise $15/day parking charge and no parking spots even moderately close to our room. No sugar in the in room coffee basket. Wi-fi speed (regarless of location) reminded me of dial-up days...seriously this is 2011 get faster internet speeds. For the room's price I would have expected flatscreen TV's in 2011. Zero accessible A/C outlets near the TV's for plugging in media player etc. 10 a.m. check-out is early IMHO. On our 2nd day no one came by to clean the room until close to 4pm at which point we were napping, and didn't want to be disturbed.
“2, 2, 2 resorts in one!”
2 separate properties within this resort...beware! The timeshare villas, where we were put, are a great distance from the hotel amenities such as the pool, tennis courts, spa, and restuarants. You must drive out the gate and about 3/4 of a mile and reenter the resort. The resort and villa was very nice, but this setup was inconvenient for us and not disclosed. I would have liked to be able to walk to these amenities. I would stay again...but I would ask for a room in the hotel resort...not the villas.
“Pathetic”
First of all, charging me $15 to park my car is ridiculous. Secondly, having a checkout time of 10am is absurd. Third, if we're scheduled to check out that day, then why on God's green earth would you send the maid service to clean the room at 9am (on a Sunday, no less!)??? A) We were sleeping (by the way, there are no "Do Not Disturb" signs) and B) we were CHECKING OUT in a few hours!!!! Clean it AFTERWARDS!!!!!!! Get your act together. You just lost me for me
