“I LOVE PALM SPRINGS”
NEEDED A HANDICAP ROOM--XL SHOWER. SHOWER BENCH WAS GIVEN @ FRONT DESK. THAT RM HAD NO WIFI., & A POOR, 30 YR OLD TV-7 STATIONS ONLY. HAD 2 HANDI PARKING SPACES OUTSIDE OUR ROOM. SOMEONE ALWAYS HAD THEM. I WOULD SUGG LABELING THE PARKING SPACE " RM#136 ONLY." THE PEOPLE WHO USED THE SPACE WALKED UP TO 2ND FLOOR, & THEY HAD A HANDI HANG TAG.
“cheap and good enough”
Nothing special but clean and affordable. Good waffles and gave us a late checkout.
“Like this hotel”
We've stayed at this hotel twice and have been satisfied both times. On our second visit the room was huge with a partition separating two king beds. It was clean and the beds were pretty comfortable. We were struck by how quiet the hotel was. We also appreciated the fact that the room had a refrigerator and a microwave, so we could heat up leftovers from Thanksgiving. In addition, we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast with bagels and cream cheese, Danish, waffles, cereal, toast, fruit, juice, and coffee. It's not a luxury hotel, but if you want to stay at a pretty decent place on a budget, you can't go wrong with this one.
“Better than I read”
This hotel is well kept, but a little on the older side. The rooms were clean with absolutely no insects. The towels were new. The TV wasn't a high definition type, but I didn't go to Palm Springs to watch TV. The pool area was very clean and well maintained. The hotel staff was wonderful. The lady at the front desk was an absolute champ when I had a problem with my schedule. She made several calls and stayed on hold to help me solve my problems and get me a refund for a schedule change. That's service!!! I give them 5 stars here. The breakfast service was adequate, with waffles, coffees, teas, bagels and cereals. All was good and fresh.
“Second Time Around”
This was my second time returning to this hotel and I must say the first time was much better. My reasoning has nothing to do with the service or anything like that, but with the room we were given the second time around. Last time we stayed on the second floor in the 200-215 hotel room range and the rooms were huge and had a nice walk-in closet, newly remodeled bathroom, which was on the larger side as well. We were more than ecstatic to see this and stay here because of it. Since our experience was so great a few months ago, this past weekend we decided to stay there again. This time, however, we were given a room in a different area of the hotel (the back building #s 230 and up). This room was just okay. It was nothing like the previous room we were in. This had the tiniest closet imaginable and the smallest bathroom with no window (like our previous room had). The shower was nothing spectacular and the position of the toilet in the room was obnoxious to work around. One plus, was the air conditioning worked much better in this room than the AC from our first visit. You win some, you lose some I guess. Also, our room was located right across from the stairs which I would never advise! We were woken up so many times from late at night to early in the morning with people trying to find their rooms and leave the hotel. It was a mess. We definitely want to stay here again, but will be requesting to stay in a hotel closer to the front of the building and away from the stairs!
“Good value”
This is a budget hotel but well worth it. We paid 3X the night before for a hotel that, while it was a bit quieter and a bit more comfortable, was not 3X the hotel that the vagabond is. The room at the Vagabond was more spacious but less 'opulent' than the more expensive room; the Vagabond was a bit noisier because it is more of a 'motel' with rooms facing the parking lot and all exterior entries to the rooms; the breakfasts were nearly identical; the pool area in the Vagabond was as large, as clean, as usable. There was not much difference to justify the price difference. We will stay at the Vagabond again and we suggest that most people would find it more than acceptable.
“Dingy”
Outdated AC, toilet barely works (hold it down for 20 seconds), no soda machines.
“Clean and tidy room”
We were on the 3rd floor all the way in the back where it was very peaceful. We saw a huge roadrunner and a very healthy lizard outside in the back. Both queen beds were very comfortable and the receptionist was very helpful in giving me directions to get milk at Ralphs (about 2 miles down the road).
“"Not clean, a bad experience"”
The AC didn't work well, the breakfast wasn't enough for everybody. Some of the employees had attitude. We had beatles in and out of the room. The pool wasn't clean. They didn't have enough ice. Never going back there.
“i dont know wannat remembr that day”
its was Dirty , lots of COCKROACH , two Cockroach in my bed and the was runing around , i dnt know what to say
