“Too many problems to return.”
Upon first inspection, we were happy with the room and service considering the relatively reasonable price. Initially, however, the price was reasonable, but with the addition of the usual taxes and for water & phone which we tried to decline but couldn't, we did not get what we paid for. Although the front staff were friendly, the room had major problems. Built in the 60's, the property had been remodeled 3 years ago we were told. It turned quite cool the weekend we were there so we turned on the heat in the AM. The smell was terrible and set off the smoke alarm. Front desk told us to "just take the batteries out" however it was located high up toward the ceiling, out of our reach. I also believe that is illegal. It got even colder when we had to open the door to air out the room from the fumes. We could not turn on the shower because the control was so calcified they had to send a maintenance man to muscle it on. Had to wait an hour for the maintenance man to start his shift. No one offered to move us to a room that had a decent heating/AC system and a working shower. Considering the economy & number of rooms available in the Palm Springs area, they are not competing well at all. We won't be back.
“Great place to stay”
This Travelodge has been recently refurbished and we found it to be a great place to stay overnight whilst visiting Palm Springs and nearby Joshua Tree National Park. The king bed was really comfortable and the room was very clean. Everything we needed was there. They have a couple of pools, manicured gardens, lots of free parking and free wifi too. The hotel is located on the road with most hotels/motels and a short drive to the main downtown restaurant strip. There are a few decent restaurants within a 5 minute walk if you dont want to drive. Overall we were really happy with our stay - no complaints!
“great stay”
good location, great pool and spa area and very friendly and helpful staff. Made our stay a fantastic experience.
“Best hotel for the price!!”
Always a great price and stay at Travelodge Palm Springs. The new renovations make the hotel look better and the price is always affordable. I have stayed at plenty of other hotels in Palm Springs and this one is amazing for the price!
“so so”
This hotel was renewed; however, it still keep some old furniture like the sleep bed, and air conditioner, so that caused some unconvenience for us.
“Visiting Palm Springs”
Nice Personnel...Continental breakfast a plus.... two pools.... Older rooms/bathroom is small and hard to share with a family.
“Can't wait to go back”
My husband and I stayed at this travelodge, it was very affordable, service was great, and the rooms were modern, nothing you would expect for the affordability, it was a bonus. This hotel was so great that my husband I decided to stay an extra night. i would recommend this hotel to anyone, my husband and I can't wait to go back.
“Good value”
Overall, a good hotel if you are on a budget. Only negatives: Bed was a bit uncomfortable (too firm and springy) and nothing much of interest within walking distance (must drive to downtown area). The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. The room and property were clean (pool door was not working properly for some reason though). The property and rooms have been somewhat updated (style-wise) with carpeting, new paint, etc.
