“Beautiful location and welcoming employee's. Very comforable. Impressed.”
I would definitely come back to this hotel. It is in a beautiful area. Everyone was very nice. The breakfast was wonderful with a lot of choices. The managers welcome/ snack and finger foods was also very good. We would have loved to stay another night.
“Use only for the convenience.”
Carpets unkempt, bathroom tub rust, bathtub mat loose (dangerous), tub exterior chipped, decorative handles missing, short on toilet tissue.. Bar not open at designated time (ever).
“High Expectations/Low Effort”
Front Desk help cursory at best, rude to apathetic the rest of the time. Arrived given room right across from elevator, asked for a different room, given room on upper floor, smelled dirty, shower drain clogged. Tried to wash clothes in the laundry room, asked at desk for quarters and detergent, told they were out of detergent, "There's a grocery store down the street". Mini mart in the hotel, mini selection, high prices, no laundry detergent. Business center has computer access but with blocking software, no games or Fantasy Football permitted. Free breakfast is good, ample. Service staff in cafe very nice. Swimming Pool and area excellent.
“Nice Place”
I've stayed at both Embassy Suites in the desert the past 2 yrs. The La Quinta facility is much nicer, and has all the things you need within walking distance (grocery store, restaurants) or a very short drive. I spent the extra money and stayed in one of the casitas. Definitely more private and nicer amenities (has stove, microwave, fridge, dishes, pots and pans). You could easily pay 2x as much for a similar room at other resorts for the same room. Great deal.
“CA Dreaming”
Arrived at check in a bit early. No problems..until I went to my room and was assigned to a SMOKING room.....called concierge....asked why ...they responded by assigning me a top floor NO- SMOKING room. Problems continued.....NO FREE INTERNET. Called front desk and "oh we forgot to give you the code". I was given a code for FREE internet that didn't work , assigend another code same result....same result the third time. Finally instructed to sign up for the daily rate and they would remove from the bill. I decided to avoid the daily room cleaning routine but was was left a copy of the standard request for cleaning. Checkout----got generic bill for the entire stay with a charge to my credit card! Wow..went to front desk to resolve "oh our system does this automatically" wow....all the time. Front desk zeroed out the bill but left FREE internet charges on the bill. Had to ask again for corrected bill. Third time was a charm! Forgot..no flat screen TV's....its 2011 why not..?? also limited TV access unless you pay...no differentiation from a competing hotel!
“Weekend Getaway”
Had a very nice stay at Embassy Suites in La Quinta. Everything was great. Only minor issue is that room was a bit too dark.
“Wedding Visit”
Great place for the value with the breakfast that was more then enought you can't beat this place. Super Clean and easy to find. Would stay again if ever in the area.
“Great location, best for families”
The only negatives were the carpeting in front of the elevators was in sore need of vacuuming, and the pool was filled with very loud children (not the hotel's fault, of course-- inconsiderate parents). Everything else was great- price, location layout... a very comfortable hotel with good service and a wonderful buffet breakfast. I'd like to go back mid-week when there are fewer families with small children... :-)
“Hidden Gem”
This is a very nice hotel tucked far off the main freeway which was the only small downside as it was time consuming to get to once we got off the interstate. The room was spacious and clean. We had a microwave, refridgerator and mini-bar sink which was very helpful. The bed was soft and comfortable with fluffy bedding. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic. It wasn't your usual continental breakfast with a hot waffle, it was a full breakfast including an omlet station. The hotel was clean and well maintained. We had a great stay and wished we would have stayed a second night in order to have enjoyed what looked like a very nice spa.
“Loved it!”
We stayed at the Embassy Suites La Quinta for six nights booking in at the end of August. The hotel was fantastic. The hotel has a nice open lobby and was immaculate and clean. Our room was a basic suite and was great. There was a hide-a-bed (although we didn't use it) and a comfortable sitting and dinning area with its own TV. You could totally get one suite for two couple and have lots of room. There was a nice wet bar area, with big sink, fridge, microwave etc. So much nicer to have this extra room to store things. We had a king bed, which was wonderfully comfortable with great sheets and not kidding the most comfy pillows ever. The bathroom was finished very nicely and they provide you Crabtree and Evelyn bath products which were wonderful and so much better than the usual crap products at hotels. Our suite had a view of the pool area. My only regret is that I didn't book us a suite with a balcony, but will next time for sure. Finally the breakfast provided with our booking was great, very fresh. We ate there every day and tried something new each day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was made up each day and the entire complex was very well cared for. Loved it and can't wait to return!!!
