“Good location”

This hotel is comforfable and very clean. However, there is no literature in English, nor any information about excursions, local interests, doctors and useful telephone numbers. No price list for the mini bar, so we did not use it. For those interested in beaches, take the 806 bus from the local terminal to MONDELLO, a twenty five minute journey. We were there at the end of September and the beach was lovely, the sea unpolluted and very clear. Get your tickets from the local News agent just round the corner. Don't forget to punch your tickets when you get on the bus, from that point they are valid for 90mins.

This is a residenza, not a hotel in the usual sense, so don't expect room service. Room is basic and good-sized with a small table, chairs and a couch. Bathroom is small but very well-functioning. Breakfast is available - croissants, coffee, juices, breads, jams, etc.. You need to be out of the room by 10 AM, so that it can be cleaned every day. I wanted to sleep in a little on the first morning, and simply alerted the staff who were very obliging, and was perfectly happy making my own bed. The room has a tiny kitchenette, stovetop and refrigerator -great for storing water, wine, etc, hidden behid folding doors.. But why cook while in Italy? There is a great family run trattoria right across the street, very convenient especially when you arrive late at night. One block away is a nice little shopping area - bakery, butcher shop, fruit/vegetable stand, wine store, charcuterie, and a small grocery store. Lovely people. La Residenza is well-located; we were able to walk to all areas of interest. I highly recommend it for the traveler who is not looking for luxury.

Hotel was very comfortable and conveniently located. Breakfast package was fine and Sicilian pastries were heavenly! (Do check the milk before drinking it though!) It was easy to travel to other places by train and bus. Staff were very helpful and friendly when asked specfic questions. Bakery, general stores and a variety of restaurants were very close to hotel.

Großer Minuspunkt: Rezeption tägl. nur bis 13h besetzt. Spätere Anreise ist vorher telef. abzustimmen. Haben wir versucht, daber die von Expedia genannte Telno war falsch. Erst die Expedia-Hotline hat uns dann weitergeholfen und die richtige Telno auf die Mailbox gesprochen. Danke für die schnelle Hilfe! Parkplatzsituation ist in Palermo ein echtes Erlebnis. Die vom Hotel angebotene Parkgarage (15EUR die Nacht) war voll, so haben wir den Wagen auf einem blauen Parkplatzfeld abgestellt und für 2 Tage 9 EUR bezahlt. Alleine der Einkauf des Parkzettels ist ein Erlebnis: Im Tabacchi für jede Std einen Rubbel-Zettel kaufen und auf das Armaturenbrett legen. Das Zimmer war groß aber dunkel, weil in den Hinterhof gelegen. 2m von der Hauswand kam das nächste Haus. Bett und Bad waren in Ordnung, das Hotel insgesamt und OK.

Cet hôtel a répondu à mes voeux, bien situé, calme, très propre, personnel accueillant. possibilité de faire ses repas sans problème (petits commerces aux alentours), mais aussi sympathique trattoria en face. Vaste 2 pièces entretenu régulièrement, changement de draps et linges de toilette tous les 3 jours. très bons rapport qualité/prix

“Residenza D'Aragona”

Het is een klein hotel/residentie met ongeveer 10 ruime kamers (incl suite). Het hotel is goed bereikbaar en ligt vlakbij een busstationnetje. In mij geval was er weliswaar een kitchenette in het hotel, doch geen pannen/bestek. Hou hier dus rekening mee als je vd kitchenette gebruik wilt maken. Het ontbijt is niet zeer ruim qua assortiment, doch wel voldoende. Kleine broodjes en zoetigheid, cerelas, melk, sappen, yogurtjes, en wat fruit. Al met al een heel fijn hotel.
