“Lovely hotel, amazing staff, convenient location!”
We spent 10 days at Palermo, in this lovely boutique hotel. The staff were extremely helpful with anything we have requested. We felt being really at home and welcome even from the first moment, as upon our check in we were offerred a selection of cds to choose from so as to have music in our room!! Our room was lovely, very clean and well presented. Small but lovely breakfast buffet. Free car parking, which was important! Very convenient location as it is in walking distance from shops and central streets but in a very quiet and sicilian neighnourhood.
“Pleasantly surprised”
I was really pleasantly surprised when arriving at Hotel Ucciardhome in Palermo, as on first inspection it appeared to be in a poor location. However, this was not the case and in fact the main part of the city was easily accessed with a good bus service or 15 minutes walk. The rooms were really well maintained and modern and the service, for example breakfast, was good even offering breakfast in bed for no extra charge. We had a lovely stay for 4 nights and would go back if visiting Palermo again. The only two issues I had were firstly, that the bed was too hard for me causing me some aches and pains, and secondly, that on checking out they tried to charge me for use of the mini-bar which was not the case. This hotel is however, very friendly, clean and a haven in Palermo which is hot and busy all the time (except Sundays!)I would definitely recommend it.
“Perfect for a short break in Palermo”
After fighting through the Palermo traffic arriving at the hotel is like pulling into an oasis. We had a warm welcome at reception and the public areas are clean and attractive. Our room was clean and spacious and the complimentary bottle of wine was appreciated. Whilst not absolutely in the very centre of town its a short walk to the old town and there are some excellent bars and restaurants nearby - and the hotel staff make good reccomendations. Complimentary in-room breakfast was nice. Overall there's little to fault and we had a very pleasant stay.
“ucciardhome 2010”
Colazione a buffet ricchissimo e freschissimo.
Top Kaffee!

Area:
Palermo, Italy: Sicilys capital stands on a curved bay at the foot of Monte Pellegrino. Its a chaotic, ebullient place with masses to see. Puppet theatre, street markets and marzipan fruits are typical Palermo treats. Get your bearings at a major intersection, the Quattro Canti. Dont miss the superb mosaics in the Cappella Palatina, or Serpottas stuccowork in the city churches. The mummified corpses in the Capuchin catacombs are the stuff of nightmares.
