“Convenient to shopping, buses and dining”

This hotel was located on a side street. Although small it was convenient to shopping and public transportation. The rooms were clean and had french doors opening to the lanai. The clerks spoke little english and we spoke little Italian but they tried to be very helpful to the tourists.

Getting around
We used the double decker tourist bus which allows you to get on or off to tour different sights. It had audio headsets which provided historical information about Palermo. We also used the public bus and train to make daily trips to other towns. We had to take a taxi from the hotel to these stations.

“Very satisfied”

Staff very helpful and friendly. Room clean, bathroom clean and the air con was brilliant! Hotel in ideal location - restaurants and cafes a short walk away- almost bang in the centre of the action. Breakfast was a good continental, with pastries, yoghurt and fruit. All-in-all, a good stay and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Area recommendations
Take the 806 bus (from virtually right outside the hotel) to Mondello. It is the most beautiful seaside town, with an incredible beach. It boasted a good few fab restaurants and is a welcome respite from the craziness of Palermo. The trip takes about 20 minutes.
Getting there
Take the bus from the airport straight into town. It takes about 35 mins, with no need for booking- just pay the driver upon boarding.

“Would go back, satisfactory base for getting around Palermo and other parts of Sicily”

Staff friendly and helpful. Most reception staff could speak English. Room comfortable and clean. TV only Italian channels. Internet only available in a room off the foyer, not in room as stated on website. Iron &/or board not available on request as again stated on wewbsite, but ironing could have been done for you. Breakfast strictly continental plus cake & fruit. 2 standard rooms were booked but only one had a balcony. Hotel ideally situated for centre of Palermo (10 mins walk to Politeama Square)and getting to rail and bus connections. Part of our visit was to attend a family evening wedding, arriving back at 3.30am did not present any problems.

Traveller's tip
Eating out, plenty on offer at reasonable prices. Shops close from 13.00 - 16.00 open until 19.00/20.00. Restaurants,remain open. Palermo -good base for visiting other areas. Bus & rail services fairly good. Bus tickets must be bought in advance from booths, magazine sellers etc & activated on the bus & last for 90 minutes & can be used more than once on any route. (Can be purchased from driver but cost more). Rail tickets must be activated before boarding the trains.

“Excellent location”

I was happy to have selected the Europa Hotel because in general the service was good, the location excellent and the room was confortable and clean and the price was right! I got an unbeatable special...

This hotel is at short distance of several interesting atractions of the city such as the Politeama Garibaldi Theatre, Teatro Massimo, Piazza Pretoria, Palermo Harbor, Palermo Cathedral, etc.

“would go back”

hotel advertised that all rooms were internet accessable but that was not true. There was a romm wher you could use the hotel,s service for $3.00 Euro an hr.Hotel food was o.k, but there are plenty of great places to eat within walking distance,with a really great place right accross from the hotel

“ruhige Lage etwas außerhalb des historischen Zentrums, aber gute Anbindung zu Fußoder per BUs”

sauber, unkompliziert, Frühstück nur süß (Käse/Schinken etc. fehlt - ist eben Italien), nüchtern, ok.

“Hotel Europa di Palermo - comodo al centro e mezzi di trasporto. Buono.”

Camere spaziose e pulite. Colazione sufficiente ma le pasticcerie non mancano in città. Fermata autobus a 100 mt. e fermata bus aeroporto a 200 mt.

Area recommendations
Non ho aree particolari del centro da segnalare. In ogni caso tutta la zona turistica visitata è parsa sicura e molto frequentata anche nelle ore serali. Il clima di ottobre è ideale.

“hotel europa:bella zona e buona posizione”

Ho soggiornato con mio marito e mia figlia di 6 mesi e mezzo per 4 notti in questo albergo posizionato davvero magnificamente rispetto alla città. Essendo la bimba cos piccola ero un po' preoccupata, ma il fatto che si potesse raggiungere il cuore di Palermo in 5 minuti a piedi ha reso tutto molto facile e piacevole. Pulizia e cordialità buone, consiglierei vivamente questo hotel a tutti.

situation par rapport au centre ville et la vieille ville est parfait. la chambre et la salle de bain sont spacieux
