“comfortable large bed as good as the Hilton.”
The Hotel was very nice could easily park, the gardens were lovely and so was the seating area, Breakfast was fine. The hotel could be 4 stars, the rooms just need painting due to wear, and the bed spreads replacing, the bed was quality at its best very comfortable. The bathroom was ok but the wooden floors had fluff on them hear and there the cleaner needs a better hoover. The staff were very pleasant. I would recommend this hotel it was overlooked by 2 block of flats but you are staying in a very build up area, we thought the area was better than around the main harbour . For a short stay this hotel is fine and perfect for an early flight .
“Great value, quiet neighborhood, free wifi in the room and in the reception area”
I was very pleased to have booked this hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Work colleagues staying in 3-star hotels nearby paid more than twice as much for less space and worse food, and had to pay a lot for wifi. This hotel comprises a mix of older and newer buildings. Mine looked maybe 10-15 years old. The room was large with a good size work desk and quiet AC. The shower fittings were a bit tired but the shower was hot and plentiful. I was furthest from the reception area but still got a good wifi signal. The hotel is in a quiet side street, halfway between Palermo centre and Mondello beach. The breakfast was average for an Italian 3-star, with juices, cereals, yoghurts, ham, cheeses, fruit, cakes, tea, coffee. The hotel gardens were beautiful and shared with an adjacent palazzo which had a top-end restaurant, with prices to match. There were lots of low-cost restaurants nearby. The ATMs and food stores were 2-3 streets away, on the main Bus routes. Buy bus tickets from the nearby Tabac store, opposite the Gas station.
“A hotel with beautiful gardens and very friendly staff but not used to its maximum potentials.”
The hotel does not provide any information about the services offered by them or how the system in the resturant works if you can go to eat there or not! They need someone to do their marjketing better as it is not used to its full potenials! Thier breakfast room is only used for two houras each day for breakfast as they can have activites for guests in the evening or have some other group activites. They are part of the EU but Tv was all Italian no english channels availble at all.
“First stay in Sicilia”
I liked the hotel. Lovely garden with orange trees. In San Lorenzo, but a quick bus ride to points of interest. Quiet. Simple decor, but clean. Really quiet. Price was very reasonable. No internet signal in room despite advertising to contrary. Worked ok in lobby. Hotel called cab to take us to train station. 25 euros for a 15 minute ride. No meter. More expensive than NYC! Should have negotiated up front.
“Great resort type hotel & 20 min from Palermo airport”
a great bargain at the price and a resort setting in the hotel complex; Enormous room; comfortable bed; good & plentiful breakfast; helpful staff; could not have been better; walking distance to an enormous park and easy access to the autostrata to get to the airport; Easy drive to Mondello, a beach resort town a car is a must to get there and get around while there
“Look carefully at options”
Modest facility. Rooms plain but adequate. Facility in a mixed neighborhood (old estates converted to condos or hotels) with minimal shopping nearby. Reasonably located on northern part of Palermo. Bus possible, but challenging. Driving equally challenging. Restaurant was mediocre and not pleasant. Hotel staff varied from most helpful to "aloof". English spoken in various degrees. Quite challenging to find this facility on first drive from airport. Use google map which will provide a circuitous route but avoids some most difficult interchanges otherwise.
“A bit out of the way”
Bed was VERY hard, nice surroundings in the hotel grounds. We had a hire car so getting there was no real problem. 7ks from the centre of Palermo parking is difficult. Good breakfast uat had trouble with finding clean cups etc at Breakfast. English was difficult and very hard to get accurate directions. Good food in some local resturaunts.
“September 2010”
To be aware of: Rooms that we used and saw really only good for sleeping, light level poor, very limited flat surfaces, no tea/coffee making, cumbersome narrow double doors, room (ground floor) carried a lot of noise from room above. No internet wifi access in rooms though it was available near Reception albeit speed very slow at times. Access is free (daily password from Receotion) using your own laptop, Eu 7 per 24 hrs using hotel computer. No working Sky in rooms so no English news channel. Limited number of electric sockets (Europe pattern of course). Take 13A mufti socket extension lead with you a lot of gadgets s need an over night battery charge. Only limited English spoken by many staff BUT this is of course a reflection on UK people rather than the Italians. Plastic knives at breakfast. Mosquitos a problem in room and outdoors if you happen to be very sensitive to their bites. No publicised transfer from PMO. Taxi quite expensive and liable to take scenic route. We found it feasible to drive hire car from airport to hotel but luck was on our side. .
“Slightly off the beaten path and well worth it”
The Hotel is conveniently located, once you know how to get around. It takes minutes to get to the city centre and if you enjoy walking for a couple of hours, there are two beaches 'nearby' (for those who prefer the bus to the beach, the stop is two minutes from the hotel--and from the beach). At the airport, let the bus driver know which hotel you are staying at and he/she will let you off at the nearest point (I ended up at Central Station and took a 20 Euro taxi when the bus was available for 1.30 Euros)... The continental breakfast is great and the staff are quite accommodating, speaking several languages.

Area:
Palermo, Italy: Sicilys capital stands on a curved bay at the foot of Monte Pellegrino. Its a chaotic, ebullient place with masses to see. Puppet theatre, street markets and marzipan fruits are typical Palermo treats. Get your bearings at a major intersection, the Quattro Canti. Dont miss the superb mosaics in the Cappella Palatina, or Serpottas stuccowork in the city churches. The mummified corpses in the Capuchin catacombs are the stuff of nightmares.
