“Great Location and good value for money”

We booked the hotel as part of our silver wedding anniversary. Most members of staff were friendly and polite. The room was excellent although do expect to wake to the morning chorus of Sicilian drivers hooting their horns. The mini bar prices were expensive but the staff seemed to appreciate this fact and offered to bring full bottles of champagne which worked out to be better value for money. The location is perfect for getting to the centre of Palermo and the theatres. We did not eat in the hotel other than at breakfast which was good for a continental style buffet. I lost my passport whilst in Palermo and the staff at The Grand Hotel Wagner could not have been more helpful in getting a police report done and calling places where I could have possibly left it. Worth asking the hotel to park the car for you - not much more than paying for local car parks. Overall good value for money with a little bit of luxury thrown in.

Area recommendations
It is worth taking advantage of the open top tourist buses which will help familiraise you with the city of Palermo. They are valid for 24 hrs so you can use them over 2 days. The eating quarter is great for good food at relatively inexpensive prices. The Massimo Theatree is a must if you can get tickets

“Do not expect a five star set up but location is convenience”

We booked the hotel for two nights with the expectation of being a five star with grandure as seen ion the website pictures,but were a little disappointed of finding it more of an old 4 star rating with limited facilities and service .No wonder the price charged was too good to be true of a 5 star quality. Dining facilities was not available except for breakfast. We would not return but would recommend the hotel for those who want to pay for value and location.

“Beautiful hotel!”

We absolutely loved this hotel. The staff could not have been more attentive and the rooms were beautiful. If we ever go back to Palermo, this is where we will stay.

“4 star billed as 5 star in palermo”

Very old fashioned. Really just a place to sleep as there is really no lobby and the bar is both poorly located and dead. The furniture in the room is old-fashioned and uncomfortable, but the hotel is clean, convenient & quiet. This is welcome in a city that can be chaotic.

Area recommendations
The area around this hotel has many of the more interesting sites (the opera, the gardens, the outdoor markets and museums). It is also adjacent to the main shopping areas and there are many good restaurants in the area.

“Grand Hotel Wager Works”

The GH Wagner was difficult to find but otherwise well located near restaurants, shopping and sites. Palermo was for the one night we were there an interesting city to be in. A true surprise. Neighborhood was safe and not threatening. Hotel breakfast (included) was one of the best of our trip. Service by hotel was excellent and staff was helpful. Hotel is somewhat dated but certainly clean and well maintained. This 5 star hotel was a value bargain at the price we paid.

“great location”

for those who want to see Palermo hotel wagner is a great choice. extremely well located very close to the historic center yet in a quiet and clean area. few minutes walking from everythinh you need to see in the city. many excellent dining options in the in the surroundings and a 24h pharmacy.
