“eccentric”

Perhaps understandable in the context of Palermo in August. It was as if the person in charge of housekeeping was on holiday. The room was cleaned well but the public areas were a mess.

“A very friendly hotel”

Just got back from a week in Palermo, where we stayed in the Hilton Excelsior Hotel. We had an enjoyable stay, made even more so by the friendly and helpful staff. The hotel itself is beautiful, with fantastic art nouveau style glass chandeliers throughout. The hallways and rooms are well maintained and finished to a high standard. Most importantly, the bed in our room was very comfortable. And I am picky about beds. I was expecting the usual European hotel bed: hard as a board and yet lumpy. But this was a real king sized mattress, pleasantly soft, but also firm and supportive. After all the touring around each day, it was great to get a good night's sleep! I would definitely recommend this hotel. The location is also convenient for touring around Palermo, catching buses out to Mondello, and into the old city, etc.

“perfect location, I'd like to come back”

I enjoed our stay in this hotel , but the first night there was a nightmare ( traffic noise from Via Liberta!), then I asked for another room and ,since that moment, it was a wonderful stay. Many thanks to Mr Giuseppe ( the doorman) who was extremely helpul and friendly.

“A lovely hotel in good location”

A lovely hotel, spoilt by wet room from faulty airconditioning. Wonderful staff. Location is good a well. Bit difficult to find on the map though.

“Excelsior Hilton Palermo”

L'hotel Excelsior di Palermo offre un servizio di standard elevato, le camere sono ristrutturate, molto comode e belle. Il primo giorno abbiamo avuto problemi con l'acqua calda ma il problema è stato tempestivamente risolto. La zona in cui si trova l'hotel è su viale della libertà, il centro è raggiungibile con vari pulman oppure con 10 minuti di camminata lungo il bel viale. Il personale dell'hotel è disponibile e molto gentile. Molto buono il rapporto prezzo/qualità.

Area recommendations
Palermo è tutta bella, da non perdere sicuramente Monreale, la Cappella Palatina e Ballarò.
Dining
Per mangiare consiglio nni franco u' vastiddaru (fritti stupendi a basso prezzo) e Il Mirto e la Rosa (ristorante di qualità).

“Hotel Excelsior è ideale per clienti che amano tradizione e classe”

L'Hotel Excelsior Hilton di Palermo corrisponde esattamente alle mie esigenze. Amo il buon servizio, la discrezione, la tranquillità, la vicinanza alle mete turistiche . Ritengo assolutamente equo qualità prezzo.

Area recommendations
Credo che la zona verdeggiante di Via Libertà di Palermo sia assolutamente raccomandabile.
