Fantastic hotel at the heart of Palermo. it gives access to major shopping streets near by Via Roma etc churches all around for art or mass. Restaurants are all exquisite around whether you want complex foods to pizza and street foods. i sampled 5 different places and its fantastic!
The hotel staff are extremely welcoming and the breakfast is exceptional. I stayed in the super deluxe room with a double balcony. Bed was extremely comfortable
only downside is the noise from the street. it is very very busy at night so if you like nightlife then you can sit in the comfort of your own room and enjoy the music

The bus from the airport stops right outside the hotel. There is parking behind the hotel (charge). We were welcomed by smiling, perfectly groomed receptionists, who were always very helpful. My room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was very good. It was an excellent place to begin a stay in Sicily after the long flight from Australia. Plenty of good places to eat nearby.
We spent 10 days at Palermo, in this lovely boutique hotel.
The staff were extremely helpful with anything we have requested. We felt being really at home and welcome even from the first moment, as upon our check in we were offerred a selection of cds to choose from so as to have music in our room!!
Our room was lovely, very clean and well presented.
Small but lovely breakfast buffet.
Free car parking, which was important!
Very convenient location as it is in walking distance from shops and central streets but in a very quiet and sicilian neighnourhood.

Excellent facilities and close to the beach.
I sat on the roof most nights enjoying the view and using the free wifi talking to my other half in London via FaceTime. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Unpleasant welcome from man who proceeded to offer to make us a salad for lunch which he then served although restaurant was closed. Hotel gloomy, dark, awful colour schemes. Very few customers, fewer staff, only one on duty at a time. Dreadful location, no garden, in poorly built area on extremely busy narrow road, no pavements. We couldn't wait to leave.
What a pity: the building in itself is old and beautiful and could be nicely decorated and the inner courtyard would have been pleasant to use had we been allowed to do so.
"Excellent location, great staff, very comfortable"
I've spent 5 days at Excelsior Hilton Palermo, and would strongly recommend it. Location is excellent, in a beautiful mail avenue with several fine restaurants and great boutiques, airport shuttle bus stops in front of the hotel, and old town with main attractions is within walking distance - some 10-15 min. Also local bus to great beach Mondello stops in front of the hotel. Staff is very pleasant and rich breakfast.
Only flaw: WIFI in room is charged (free only in the lobby)
The hotel is beautiful. We had a great experience at the hotel. It is an ideal location for anyone wishing to relax. The only comment I have is that the hotel is isolated - there is nothing to do around the hotel (e.g., no place to go for a walk, to shopping nearby, etc.).

The hotel is a half hour taxi ride from Palermo airport, no problems getting a taxi and 35 euros for the fare. Welcoming arrival at the hotel and easy check in. Shown to the room by the reception staff and all of the hotel facilities explained and maps of Palermo provided and areas of interest pointed out. Room was very large and very pleasant, had a good size bathroom and separate seating room. The public areas are all very clean and tidy as were the grounds and the pool area. The restaurant is on the terrace which overlooks the bay but the only downside is the large dock yard to the left of the hotel. The food is very good but a little pricey. You can eat in the bar for a snack, which is a little cheaper. There is very little to do outside of the hotel as it's in a residential area. The hotel has a shuttle bus free of charge to get you into the city Palermo, which takes 10 minutes. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay send would definitely recommend this lovely hotel
