“ADDITIONAL INFORMATION”

IN ADDITION TO MY PREVIOUS COMMENTS ABOUT THIS HOTEL, POTENTIAL GUESTS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT STAFF THERE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT EURO TRAVELLERS' CHEQUES, AND NEITHER ARE SOME LOCAL BANKS. DON'T LEAVE IT TILL YOUR LAST DAY TO DISCOVER THIS!

Area recommendations

Try to check on day of visit whether sites (museums palazzi, etc) are open, as surprise closures often annoy! Palazzo dei Normanni, Cathedral in Monrealle & extensive gallery in Palazzo Abatellis were highlights for us.Treasury in Palermo Cathedral less so.

“Maßlos enttäuscht !!!”

Leider war ich von dem Hotel sehr enttäuscht und auch von der dortigen Umgebung. Es ist unverständlich, warum sämtliche Strassen der Umgebung zugemüllt sind. Das Hotel hat die besten Zeiten schon hinter sich, der Preis als auch der Transfer zum Flughafen war völlig überteuert. Für den Abreisetag bat ich an der Rezeption um ein früheres Frühstück, was leider nicht an die zuständige Person weitergeleitet wurde, so dass nur die Hälfte des Buffets stand. Der sogenannte "Mondello"strand, wo die Upperclass Palermos wohnen soll, war genauso dreckig wie die Strassen. Ich kann nur empfehlen ein Hotel Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs zu wählen, da man von dort für wenige Euros mit dem Bus zum Flughafen fahren kann.

“Premier sejour en italie”

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans cet hôtel. La qualité de l'accueil est très correct, l'environnement extérieur de l'hôtel peut a première vu faire peur (en Octobre). La plage n'est qu'à quelque minutes a pied (30min). Le centre ville est accessible par bus (30 min). Si vous voulez voir autres chose que la plage il faudra absolution louer une voiture.

“Addaura Hotel di Palermo - buona posizione, buon ristorante”

Complessivamente soddisfacente. Qualche carenza in camera: uso TV non documentato, un rubinetto semi-bloccato, niente phon, letto a molle non confortevolissimo, personale non sempre cordiale, colazione modesta. A favore il ristorante di buona qualita' e pulizia dentro e fuori le camere. Bella e ben tenuta la zona piscina.

Area recommendations

Consiglierei questa zona o la vicina Mondello, se dotati di auto. E' zona tranquilla e permette di raggiungere facilmente sia il centro di Palermo che le maggiori localita' turistiche.

Must see

Pal. Abatellis, il Duomo di Monreale, Palazzo Mirto, la salita al Monte Pellegrino se la visibilita' e' buona.

Dining

A Mondello, il rist. Sapori di Mare da Giovanni: il pesce alla brace, antipasti e dolci di qualità eccelsa. Evitare i risotti e il fritto, che non sono specialità siciliane (soprattutto per chi viene dal Veneto)

“Un hotel valido e comfortevole”

La stanza ed il bagno erano ampi, con balcone; la piscina vicina. L'unico neo e' l'essere tra Palermo e Mondello, per cui fuori dall'hotel non c'e' molto da vedere o da fare (a parte le grotte dell'Addaura). Meno male che c'e' il ristorante dentro all'hotel...

“Vicinissimo a mondello la spiaggia dei palermitani”

La prima camera aveva il bagno sporco, la seconda anche meno male che ci siamo fermati solo una notte.
