Hotel is quite away from town, but is the only one that is on the beach. The property was very well maintained and staffed and they were quite helpful. Travel to and from town was easy, with regularly scheduled van rides to and from and not much reason to go to town anyway except for evening dining.
The restaurant was very good and had a variety on the menu and the service was very helpful.
We enjoyed the beach, although the tides made it very odd in terms of where the water level stayed, but it was still a beach to wander and have fun on. We ended up staying at the pool a lot as well which was a good size with good service from the restaurant.
Ability to schedule the Underground River tour was very easy as well which is a highlight all should attend.
Definitely recommend it for families and couples

If you live in a city and have had the easy life and just want to get away from reality for a time, this is the place for you. Set on a beautiful palm covered beach about 20 miles off the paved road you will find Palm Bay Resort. So leave your dress shoes and high heals at home and bring your boots and sandals.
Spent 3 days in paradise here, stayed in Villa which is set atop stanchions providing a great view from the balcony and offering modest privacy. Staff was extremely accommodating and very friendly. Cuisine is top notch, breakfast buffet is widely varied and well presented, lunch and dinner were both delicious (fruit salad, fish, crab) and fulfilling. Resort caters to couples but families were also present with plenty of things to do (hiking, island hopping, snorkeling, diving). Meals can be catered on remote island locations as well as locally on the beach making for a romantic rendezvous. Price is high but well worth it!
Hotel staff could not have been more friendly and eager to please. By the end of our visit everyone knew our daughter by name and went out of their way to be accommodating. The hotel organized each of our daily outings which were unique, fun, and eco-conscientious. The organic farm tour is a must! And the excellent food is a testament to their fresh organic ingredients. Ideal spot to get away from the hustle and bustle and appreciate the beauty of virgin Philippine mountains and beaches.
