It was really easy checking in. There is first come first served free parking at the back. It's a really close distance to the town centre and is walkable in nice weather. The room was spacious and clean with plenty of space. The bathroom was modern and had a Good warm/powerful shower. There is a working TV and kettle on the room. The only downside was the lack of towels. There was only one bath towel. I had contact with the manager Aamir who was friendly and helpful who had provided us a cot for our child.

Perfect for a short stay in Oxford, 15 min walk to the centre. Quaint rooms, tastefully decorated. the only downside is the walls are very thin and you can almost hear conversations in the rooms around you. Overall a good stay. Host greeted us when we arrived. Parking available but tight space for example for bigger cars

Excellent hotel, clean rooms, comfy beds hot showers. Parking was easy as was check in. Perfectly located for visiting everything Oxford has to offer, just a short walk away... Highly recommended.

We stayed here for an overnight in Oxford on our way down to Southampton. The rooms are basic but the shower was fab. No breakfast, but we knew that. Oxford town centre is easily walkable. Parking is limited to a small yard around the back of the hotel. We got parked ok, however it’s in an area where there’s mostly residents parking only, so it could have been awkward. Having said all that, I’d stay there again.

We had a twin room facing the street and initially was concerned about noise upon arrival. But after rush hour passed it was fine. Beds were comfortable. Thankful a fan was provided in the room as it was a little warmer than usual outdoors. For Americans, please note that Brits use duvets-no top sheets. Since it was warmer outside the duvet was a little warm for sleep. Opening the window & using the fan all night definitely was needed. Shower head pressure was weak but it sufficed. This was our last B & B at the end of 3 weeks in the UK and was our least favorite of everywhere we stayed-but the price was right, plus it was a close walk to the city center & Oxford campus. Good restaurants are nearby:Tap Social and Head of the River (right on the Thames) were great. Bus stop nearby too. If you’re “decor sensitive” the purple flowered wallpaper behind the beds didn’t work well with the light blue & white hydrangea drapes. Would have been a lovely room if the purple wallpaper was replaced with a coordinating blue from the curtains. Abdington Street has lots of row houses with many not in the best condition (college student rentals maybe?) but after passing a few blocks the architecture improved significantly. We enjoyed our 3 day stay there and got sufficient rest for all our wandering! Be sure to visit the Oxford Botanic Garden if you love gardening/flowers. Also. We stumbled upon the Saxon tower of St. Michael’s which is definitely worth seeing-climb the tower for a great view.

Very comfortable and affordable Guest House close to the heart of Oxford with friendly staff and pleasant room. Even though it is on a busy street once you close the windows it is silent. Would definitely truenos and highly recommend to anyone who doesn’t require an oversized room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were very clean and nice but very noisy due to traffic. The location is great with only a 15 minute walk into the city. However, don 't stay here if you are planning any day trips out of Oxford because you may not have a parking space when you arrive back to the guest house. We could not find any reasonably priced parking nearby.

Charming property. Old row house converted to guest house. Room was functional with updated bathroom and shower. Clean. Easy walk to Oxford. Dedicated parking which was a big plus. On a main road so there is traffic noise. Good choice for our day in Oxford.

This property is on the London end of Oxford, so you have to pay attention which way you approach it because of the low emissions area. The property does not provide breakfast unless pre arranged and paid for. It is actually two properties joined together, but with just 6 places for parking so very limited. Our room was clean and tidy with good on suite bathroom and a very comfortable bed. The area is not the most appealing, but it is just a 20 minute walk to Carfax Tower the centre of Oxford. Which gives you access to all it has to offer.

Great location, good value
Newton House is perfect in many ways! Place is only about 20 minutes walk into Oxford Center. The room and bathroom are a bit tight but it's cozy and the beds are amazingly comfortable. Free parking in the back is limited to 6 cars. We didn't have any problem with getting a space but that is because we make sure to return to the hotel before it gets dark. There's a Londis next door! It was very handy because we would buy sandwiches for lunch so that we don't have to spend a lot of money in restaurants during lunch while we were out sightseeing. Staff is friendly. Amiir, manager, is attentive. Atlantic Fish (abt 10 min walk) serves awesome kebab!

I liked everythig about the property. Spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Only warning to others - be sure to check out shower controls before stepping fully in. I could mainly only get hot and boiling. Even putting it on cold to start, it seemed to automatically heat up to boling.

The room was clean and a bit more spacious than many. The shower was a tight fit. The breakfast was extra and was good, with warm croissants. It was on the bus li e and convenient to walk or bus to the city center and train station. The host allowed early checkin and we appreciated thst.
