“will use again”

From the moment we booked in to when we booked out the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The room was clean and very adequate, the bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of choice for brekfast and evening meal. Would use and recommend The Doghouse again if we were in the area.

“A Great Old Traditional English Inn”

It was GREAT, This old traditional English Inn was everything that I or you would wish for. The lounge and dinning are warm, comfortable, relaxing and even romantic. The food was excellent 10 of 10 stars. I hardly ever give 10’s. I ate there a lot and the price for Dinners, drinks and snacks was price lower than any of the other places that I visited. My breakfast was included in the room price. The room price was also lower then others that I price out. From the Managers, Pub tenders, house keepers and the chef they all are the perfect running team. They always had a smile and kind words, no matter how busy they were. The room was just the right size, clean, the bed was perfect, I never slept so well. The only thing that could us some improvements would be the TV or cable channel selections. Poor Thank You all for a great Holiday. H.A.

Area recommendations
Abindington, Oxfordshire, Didcott, small towns but have everything you need and a lot of History. Oxford, Reading, London; For all the beautifull history, arts and entertainment.
Getting around
I rented a car it was spendy but I am glad I did. If you get a car besure to get car insurance before you leave and it must be excepted in the U. K. It cost $ 500.00 for two weeks. My Inn was three miles away from town. staying in town it's easy to get around, a lots of Taxis, bus and trains.
What to pack
Be sure that you pack, pack two power converters with addaptures-one- three prong plugs to two prong plugs.
Must see
Must see: Oxford, Windsor Castle and London City Center.

“English country hotel”

If you have a car or other transportation, the Dog House is an excellent place to stay. The food is great, the rooms are comfortable, and there is a lot of character around every turn. My problem was that I didn't have a car and it had snowed, so I had to take a taxi. That was very inconvenient. Next time I'll rent a car.

Visit nearby Oxford. In the evening, you can wander from pub to pub.
