It's a beautiful property. Only the three Suites are in the main house, of which the entire downstairs (1st floor) is the dining area for breakfast. And the breakfast is pretty typical of what you'd find in most chain hotels. The remaining rooms are in the rear of the property, so they are a little more modern with all the expected amenities. The staff (the owner was working the front desk when I arrived) were very polite and friendly. I was even complimented on my cologne by one of the kitchen staff. Lol! I definitely recommend this place and I'll be back again for sure.

Overall, our stay was enjoyable. The breakfast was great and the atmosphere was welcoming. However, when we arrived we were given an "updated room" due to over booking, ( we booked the walk in shower room and did not receive that). The bathroom was not cleaned properly ( hair everywhere on the floor, shower and sink.) no new toilet paper placed, rug in the room looked to have not be vacuumed in some time. The sheets and linens were clean but the bed frame it self was extremely dirty. The single pane windows were rotting and could feel an extreme draft. Again, the stay was enjoyable and these few things can be over looked. But something the staff should consider in the future.

This place is first class across the board! Room was spacious, clean and quiet! “The big house” is beautiful! It was decorated for Christmas and was like stepping back in time! The staff-the most accommodating and kind folks I have dealt with at a hotel. Our room was cleaned daily. I travel for a living and this isn’t always the case! Best part-FRESH BREAKFAST EVERYDAY!!! Even on Christmas Day and it is quality-not those powder eggs and fake bacon you get at most spots! My family still lives in the area so my husband and I go back to the area to visit…this is our “go to” going forward! Thanks to everyone there for going above and beyond!

Very unique place. Loved the Victorian house where you eat a excellent breakfast. Stayed two nights and was very comfortable. Kept the fan running to block out the traffic noise. This hotel is so much nicer than a hotel chain.

Parking is convenient. We were overjoyed when we spotted the beautiful inn up on the hill. Then we found our room which was out back in an addition to the property and was a room that resembled a much lower quality motel instead of the inn we thought we had booked. The room was large and had amenities like a mini fridge but no historical significance. The carpet was stained in many areas and the bathroom and entry floors were sticky. I feel we were overcharged for what we experienced. For example, tonight we are in a large, beautiful, clean room of historical significance in Oxford, MS for almost $100 less than last night at The Finial.

Even though the Expedia reservation did not show up on the computers at the hotel, the front desk personnel honored our reservation and even gave us a discount. All staff we encountered were so nice and helpful.

We like that the location was in a gated area. The hotel has had work and is still in the process of being remodeled. I did not enjoy the front desk clerk at all. We accidently booked for the night before we actually need to be at the hotel. When asking about our reservation, she found it for the night before. I asked if I could have any credit and she referred me back to expedia, even though the hotel had already received my transaction. She just smirked. I just did appreciate the inconsiderate motion, after I realized I had to pay double for the room. I won't be back.
