Beware of pet friendly rooms at hotels.

Pros: The deck area and proximity to the beach
Cons: Making sure all toilets are secure
Location: Didn't spend much time exploring. Loved the Kill Devil Grill.
This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. The first time we stayed, we loved everything about our stay. This time however, we didn't realize we were booked into a "pet friendly" room, which resulted in being awaked at 6:30 by a barking dog, which was constant for over an hour, presumably while the owners went to breakfast. Although I understand some people's need to take their pets on vacation or when they travel, this was very aggravating to us and, had there been another room available, would have insisted on being moved. The only other complaint was the toilet in our bathroom clogged and was not securely fastened to the floor. Otherwise, we found the hotel to be lovely with that awesome deck and entrance right onto the beach. Should we decide to stay here again, we will definitely make sure we don't end up in the "pet" section.

I would never go back

The whole experience was terrible. I booked my ocean view room two weeks prior only to get there and be told that they overbooked and I had to have a room looking out to a sand dune. This was for my birthday and was my very first time being at the outer banks. I was told that they were holding a room for me at the Hilton so I go back across town only to find out that they miscommunicated and they booked it for one night instead of two!! So I had no chance but to take the available room at the Ramada. The next day they moved us to an ocean view and it was very inconvenient to have to pack up and move again. I even caught a ticket for using my GPS trying to find the Hilton!! Now I check my credit card and they didn't settle the charge as they said they would, but there is also an extra 300 dollar charge!! I will never return to this hotel.

Close to beach terrible bed

Overall the hotel wasn't that bad. It's an older Ramada, but right on the beach. The beds were terrible. Very worn. It felt like I was sleeping on a slope. We were only there 1 night. Thank goodness because I would've had to ask for another room. The staff were very nice. Everyone would say good morning and hi as they saw you.

Friendly staff and accessibility for walkers users

Pros: ability to get around with a walker and friendly staff
Cons: It was 95 degrees most of the time and I would have liked a better air conditioner but it was fine when the weather was in the 80*s,
Location: I was there to sun and see family having been to the area many times.
Spend five nights in June 2015. Rooms were clean and all equipment worked well. . Pool area was well kept and well supplied with beach towels. Patio bar and food service was friendly and menu was interesting and varied. I ate most of my meals either on the patio or in the restaurant because it was easier for me and I loved the food. The many different levels of the deck allowed for sunbathing and shade dwelling as well as private areas to meet with family and friends.

well laid out

we got oceanview rooms and had been told we would get cityview. well laid out with deck to beach off of second floor lobby. beautiful beach and deck. near wright memorial.

Our Beachy stay

Pros: Oceanfront, and reasonably priced
Cons: It appears to be an older motel and could use some cosmetic upgrades, but was more than efficient.
Location: Hatteras Lighthouse is in close driving range, the Wright Bros Memorial is close and the beach is only feet away, can't get much better.
We stayed 3 days and although we did not stay at the room very much, when we were there it was pleasing. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We had a small WIFI and plumbing problem, both were seen to quickly and efficiently. Neither problem had a impact on our stay. We would stay there again if in the area.

10th Wedding Anniversary

Enjoyed the wonderful facilities. This hotel had everything we could ask for: indoor pool, hot tub, restaurant, and friendly staff. We might even bring our dog next time because this hotel allows pets on the bottom level. My wife and I enjoyed a satisfying breakfast both mornings of our stay. No reason to stand in line at any of the outside restaurants. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and hope to return soon!

Outer Banks Vacation

Cons: Would be nice to have a continental breakfast
Location: It was a great location and plenty of shopping and things to do nearby.
My experience with this hotel was excellent. The rooms were very clean and the staff were friendly. It was right on the beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family.
