Great for Families

Posted 13-Jul-2015
We rented the family suite. This is an excellent value as it gives you two rooms with a back porch over looking the river. The hotel room was clean and included everything we needed. It is not fancy or even updated but for the needs of a family touring the lovely town of Ouray it served our needs and then some. Great breakfast is served daily in the Sun Room which was lovely. Nice friendly staff.

Quaint hotel hugging the Mts

Posted 13-Jul-2015
Quiet & Comfortable and very reasonably priced. One of the owners greeted us warmly and we were touched by her sincerity. She took great care in handling the everyday tasks of running the inn as we observed on many occasions all while taking care of her precious grandkids. She was true representative of the town, friendly, down to earth and genuine.

Adorable, Welcoming

Posted 13-Jul-2015
Pros: I know it seems minor, but when traveling with family, the extra hooks and racks are very helpful. The carpet and bathroom counters have been updated
Cons: Some very minor paint peeling on the exterior fascia.
Location: The hotel is just a few feet away from the Box Canyon trail head. Very convenient to Main St.
This is our second stay at the Vic. Each time has been a pleasure. The rooms are clean and updated and the staff are very helpful.

OVI Saved our vacation

Posted 08-Jul-2015
We checked in (4 adults), and were surprised to find that Expedia had only sent one room reservation instead of two. Jan quickly found us another room, and we decided that night to extend another day if they could accomodate us. Not a problem (and this was July in Ouray- prime time. Honored th eprigianl Expedia price too. Place was great- VERY nice rooms, good breakfast, quiet at night, and a cat that OWNS the counter (we felt right at home with a friendly cat around). We will be back, and will recommend to anyone that asks. Thanks Jan! Loved it!

Clean, comfortable.

Posted 06-Jul-2015
Pros: Location, staff, breakfast
Location: Great hikes, cute town
Cute, clean small inn. We had a room on the back of the inn near the river. The room was clean and the a/c worked really well. We didn't need anything high end or with any extra frills for one night. It needs some renovations but don't let that prevent you from staying here. The staff is very nice.

Charming hotel, great location! I wish we had stayed longer. The lady at the desk (maybe the owner?) was very friendly and helpful. We loved every moment of our stay.

Beautiful Victorian Hotel near Box Canyon

Posted 17-Jun-2015
Pros: See above
Cons: nothing.
Location: A very short drive or walk to Box Canyon which is a must see in Ouray as well as the shops and restaurants. At S. end of town and quiet.
Recently remodeled and updated. This is our 3rd or 4th visit to Ouray and we have always stayed there. Owner (Jan) and staff are great and were extremely helpful with a medical emergency. Fantastic breakfast. At the south end of town at beginning of the million$ hwy. Quiet and reasonable.
