Trio - Located in a historical building attached to the hotel, this restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Brightly painted walls feature murals depicting familiar masterpieces. Contemporary menu offers meat, seafood, and pasta. Signature dishes include veal scaloppini stuffed with asparagus, and grilled Atlantic salmon. Seasonal terrace. Complimentary breakfast for up to two children (ages 16 and younger) dining with adults.
The Gallery Bar - Murals depicting famous artworks by Monet and Ingres lend style to this fashionable bar with hardwood floors and marble tabletops. Beverages, light meals, and desserts are offered daily.

“Excellent location and great value - definitely the one to use in Ottawa”
After a long flight, the welcome was really warm. Major alterations were being undertaken to the public areas, but this didn't affect the good value on offer. Decent sized room and bathroom, good view from level 9, and better than average sized swimming pool. The staff were very helpful, and the location couldn't have been better - just a stone's throw from Byard Market and the Rideau Centre, with great 24 hour supermarket nearby. Ask for a fridge, though, as the minibar is not large enough to hold your own things, and is computer wired to note anything being moved! A fridge duly arrived on request. I'd certainly return there if they can keep the prices level as it was excellent for a stay on business or pleasure.
“Novotel in Ottawa”
My wife and I stayed for two nights at the Novotel in Ottawa in July 2011 and found the hotel to be an excellent choice, both in terms of cleanliness and location. Refreshingly for a city centre hotel from one of the major chains, the hotel proved free WiFi internet access. We found car parking to be extremely easy, making use of the parking garage located below the hotel (although not part of the hotel itself) and the daily of charge of $15 seemed reasonable for a city centre parking lot. Not sure why some other reviewers found this to be a problem. An excellent buffet breakfast was provided in the restaurnat and we would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodation in the centre of Ottawa, near to all the major attractions the city has to offer.
“Very central for shopping and public transport”
Hotel very comfortable with lovely breakfast just like the Novotel in Downtown Toronto, with a central location, very handy for bus stops to all parts of the city, also for bus to Scotiabank Place (for events such as concerts and ice hockey) and across the road from an entrance to the Rideau Shopping Centre. Very helpful and pleasant staff.

“Nice hotel but beware the ice machine”
This is a nice hotel in an excellent location, close to many of the sights and good shopping. The room itself was of a good standard - a large, comfy bed and great walk in shower. The only issue I had was that there was a very noisy ice machine right outside my room, which was loud during the night, even without anybody using it. I had earplugs with me which did the trick but I recommend that you ask for a room away from the machine.
