“Great place to stay near Starved Rock State Park!”

Holiday Inn Express in Peru, Illinois was a great stay. Just 15 minutes away from Starved Rock State Park. Handicapped accessible rooms were large, spacious and well thought out. Rooms were clean and nicely outfitted. Pool and exercise rooms great. Breakfast available was decent fare. Will stay there again when I go back to Starved Rock. If you're fishing or have family members with you, good spot to go. Place is family friendly and clean!! Staff was helpful to guests.

Area recommendations
Peru Mall located just across the road near hotel handy for any traveler, especially fishing enthusiast. If you need any last minute items, it's the place to go, with reasonable prices.
Dining
If you are near the Starved Rock State Park, the Uptown Grill in Lasalle had great food, little pricey, but great fare. The Lodge at Starved Rock had great fried chicken and fish if that's your fancy. you won't go wrong in either spot.

“Allows dogs”

This hotel was great! While checking in, I heard the desk clerk talking to a guest about her dog making noise on the 3rd floor. I requested the 2nd floor. As we walked by a door on the second floor we discovered the noise was coming from that room rather than the third floor. I informed the desk and they were already on the phone to the guest to tell them they had to keep their dog quiet. After that one time that is all we heard from the dog. The room was like new, very clean and the people were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

“Close to Everything”

The hotel was in a great location. Close to grocery stores, restaurants and only about 15min away from Starved Rock and the other parks. It has a great pool, a snack bar and breakfast in the morning. Perfect for couples or families.
