“Very good”

Very pleasant stay. Good spacious room. Good food in the bar. Good local real ale. Didn't use spa though so can't comment on that.

“Historic hotel of character in town centre, good food.”

Historic hotel of character in town centre, good food. Kippers for breakfast were brilliant and the full English was excellent. Stairs difficult for people with mobility problems but it goes with staying in a Georgian building. Try the local micro-brewery beer in the bar!

Area recommendations
Visit Chirk Castle and the Langollen Steam Railway. Look in at the bookshop across the street from the hotel and the deli just down the road for their special pies.
