The hotel was in a good central location for seeing Stockholm. The breakfast was really good, it was also really busy which suggests that the hotel was quite full which was a shock as we didn't hear any noise throughout the night. The room was compact but more that enough with a tv with channels showing American tv and films. The staff were very friendly on check in. I would recommend this hotel.
We stayed here for an extra long weekend getaway and enjoyed the hotel. Check in could have been a little smoother as they had some difficulty with our third party (ie. Expedia) booking. However, the staff figured it out and all went well. We booked a Deluxe room which was overlooking the beautiful park. The room was a little "small" (by my standards), but was very functional. Breakfast was awesome! Great selection of hot and cold plates. The "blueberry soup" was delicious. Wifi worked well. The room was quiet except for the occasional door slam that could be heard in the room.
I would definitely book here again.
The basement room was absolutely fine (especially in summer when the light makes it difficult to sleep). Much better ventilation than other basement rooms I have stayed in. The staff are helpful and friendly, and breakfast excellent. Would recommend.
Loved this hotel and would return. Friendly, helpful staff; clean, lovely quiet room was just large enough and had a large bathroom with shower by European standards. Great smorgasbord-type breakfast included. In the heart of the young, trendy area with old world charm also, 1 subway stop away from Central Train/Bus station and 2 away from Old Town, the tourist center.
TIP - We bought a 72 hour subway pass for each of us and used it frequently, well worth it in 2.5 days.
My husband and I stayed at Scandic Park Hotel for the weekend. The location is excellent because it is right in front of a beautiful park and about 300 meters to the subway. The front desk staff was very friendly, and the buffet breakfast was excellent. It's obviously a popular hotel because the restaurant inside was almost always full.
Stockholm’s poshest neighborhood was once home of the Royal family’s horse stables and armies. It’s located in the area north of Dramaten, the off-white and gold theatre where Ingmar Bergmann got his start. Shops like Svensk Tenn offer classic Swedish design while Östermalms Saluhall provides an indoor gourmet food market.
