Pleasant Hotel with a vibrant night life. Posted 07-Oct-2014
My stay at the Best Western Hotel Linkoping was for business purposes, during my business trip I stayed in a number of hotels within Sweden, and therefore have a good base for comparison. The first impressions of the Hotel when first entering was pleasant however, the concierge did not ask for my identity and mistook me for another guest, sending me to a single room without showering facilities. On returning to the front desk this oversight was corrected to my pre-booked room with showering facilities, the concierge apologized and provided free meal tokens for the in-house restaurant and Tapas Bar; I was impressed and satisfied with the swift way in which this was handled. My room was comfortable, however the curtain tracks were broken so I was unable to close them; this was a concern to me as I attempted to transfer back to Pacific time zone as my trip came to a close and sleep during the day. The bed linen fabrics were of poor quality and the cleaning staff had littered candy everywhere, however the room was cleaned well. The WIFI was of extremely poor quality and therefore I experienced challenges with business dealings throughout my stay - very disappointing. There is an abundance of restaurants and bars surrounding the hotel which is extremely convenient for dinning, and the in-house Tapas bar and restaurant was fantastic - great food and service. If you appreciate good night life, this would be the place for you... if your stay is for business, perhaps not as suited.
