The Rica G20 is located in a great spot of Oslo. It was easy to find and easy to get to from the trainstation (about a 15 minute walk). The staff was very pleasant and always helpful. Even the person cleaning our room was extremely nice.
The Rica offers free breakfast, which is great if you're penny pinching in expensive Norway. The chef was very nice and the food was a standard continental breakfast, with a few local things added in.
The room was a little small, but we expected that when we booked and knew what we were getting from the pictures. The bathroom was very clean and felt new.
Overall the hotel was a good hotel and I'd definitely stay here again.

I am so glad I picked this hotel for our 3 night trip to Oslo. My family of 4 was pleased! We took the train from the airport and got off at the National Theater stop from where it is only a 5 minute walk which - even with lots of luggage - was no problem. The train cost $50 per adult, roundtrip and the kids were free, so I am fairly certain that this will be your most economical option in the MOST EXPENSIVE city in the world! People had warned us prior to the trip, but oh my! $5 for a small bottle of water, $12 for a hot dog from a street vendor, $2.50 for an apple and about $50 per person for an average sit down dinner. Based on that, we were THRILLED with the amazing breakfast that the hotel has included. It had just about everything you can ever think of, so we had a big breakfast every day and one meal in the late afternoon which worked out fine and saved us a ton of money. The hotel is just a couple minutes from the Royal Palace, right next to a beautiful park and only a 10 minute, pleasant walk to city hall and the harbor from where we took a 2 hour cruise which I recommend. The hotel had a lovely indoor pool, sauna, a rooftop bar (that we never got to check out) and a convenience store for snacks, drinks and ice cream. The staff was very pleasant and you can tell that the hotel really tries to go above and beyond for its guests. The room was spacious and clean and we loved the comfortable mattress and high end linens.
