“Great location. Historic Building”
Pleasant hotel with a great location. Breakfast was excellent, albeit very busy.
“Terrible Hotel”
We stayed 3 nights in June 2010. Some key notes: 1.) do not stay in an outside room. The night clubs will have you up all night. You must stay on the courtyard. 2.) Our first room had no closet, no carpets and the air circulator turned off at midnight. There is no air conditioning - just air circulation. We changed rooms to the courtyard and it was much better. 3.) Pigons and noise if you leave the window's open. Room was hot. 4.) No sheets on bed. Only the conforter. On the plus side, the lobby is beautiful and the breakfast was excellent. Internet access was excellent on the single computer in the lobby. Generally, the hotel has lost the most important concept of a cool, clean, quiet room to get some sleep in.
“Happy that we could leave after one night!”
The hotel is really run-down. No one available to carry your baggage from the baggage inside the hotel. Carpets in the room with lots of stains. Breakfast buffet is in a very uncomfortable setting. Noisy location. We were happy to stay just one night!
“Bristol Hotel in Oslo”
A very good hotel, loved it. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Located in the centre, and easy to walk around... If i visit Oslo again...the Bristol Hotel will be my choice again...and i´ll recomended to all my friends.
“Will go back when in Oslo”
Staff very helpful. A good feeling being in the hotel.
“Great visit, comfortable stay, quality hotel”
I read all the reviews before booking this hotel, and I was very pleased! The service was great and the room was very comfortable.
“Social Democracy does not good service make”
It is at best a functional hotel with Old World trimmings. I certainly would not recommend it.
“Can't wait to go back”
Loved the hotel. A real traditional beautiful hotel that looks like a throwback to the turn of the 20th century. When I'm back in Oslo would love to stay there again.
“I would recommend the hotel to most people but I will not be going back due to how expensive Oslo is”
We had a lovely time in Oslo but we're shocked at how expensive it is. Oslo makes London look very cheap indeed. The Hotel Bristol is a lovely old hotel. The rooms are small but updated. Our only complaint would be with the beds which were soft. They provide a wonderful breakfast and had entertainment in the hotel bar on Friday and Saturday evenings. It's in a great location too, close to all that you need to see with easy access to the train station.
“Classy, opulent atmosphere”
The lobby and the breakfast area have a wonderful historic feeling of opulence and dated charm. The breakfast presented a huge variety with plenty of helpful and friendly staff around to be sure all went smoothly as the crowds descended. The room was elegantly appointed and (in the winter) utterly quiet.
