“Very nice breakfast room and buffet but depressing bedrooms”
Not the standard I expected from Best Western regarding the bedrooms.
“Great location and great breakfast”
Although the room was small and the bathroom was even smaller, overall the hotel was in a great location and was clean. We could walk to the Palace within 10 minutes and to the National Theatre area in about 15 minutes. When we were feeling lazy we took the number 19 tram to the city centre. The receptionists were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast provided was fresh and very tasty. I would recommend this hotel.
“Oslo in Two days on a Budget”
Hotel was clean, breakfast was great, bathroom could have been bigger overall pretty good value. It was a quite place not too far from main attractions we walked, plenty of trams and buses to get around from this location. We took a train from the Airport only a block or two away. Plenty of affordable places to eat and buy water & snacks. Just avoid the 711 convenience store they will charge you $6 dollars for a water bottle that you can get 40% cheaper down the street from the hotel. They add Tax and other fees at check out. The family stores the price on the shelve is the price. Back to the hotel the staff was very helpful they speak English very well. The room didn't have air-conditioning but the windows are huge and in 80 degree weather the evening and day temp of the room was fine.
“Highly Recommend”
I would highly recommend this hotel to any one thinking of visiting Oslo. It is in a very convenient location with close proximity to the city centre as well as train station. The staff was extremely helpful. The buffett breakfast was also excellent. All in all I would not hesitate to recommend this htoel
“Best Western - Best Breakfast!”
We were very impressed with the efficient, freindly service and the hotel was conveniantly located. We paid a reasonable price and our expectations were exceeded in every way. The highlight had to be the full buffet breakfast - well worth putting on the extra weight!
“Oslo Getaway”
We were recently in Oslo and stayed in this hotel. It is a small hotel in a quiet residential part of town, away from the hustle and bustle, but still within walking distance of the main harbor area. It is also close to a bus that takes you to either downtown or Viegoland Sculpture Park (a must to see). It is not luxurious, but quite adequet with a great buffet breakfast.
“Good hotel for the price”
Hotel was beyond the main strip which was nice as there was less noise polution. Easy to get to using public transportation.
“A pretty nice tourist class place”
My room was small, of course (it's Europe--hello), but nicely laid out and kept quite clean. The single bed did not seem quite level and the TV remote did not change channels after the first day. The phone did not work the first day; I told them abouot it, but I didn't have occasion to use it after that. A big plus is the huge breakfast buffet with both American items and traditional Scandinavian (cold cuts, cheeses). It was the most comprehensive breakfast buffet I've enver encountered in a hotel anywhere. The staff is very helpful, and they even loan you umbrellas for the day. Plus the hotel is only a healthy walk to the town center and most attractions.
“Simply terrible”
Dirty, hot and very noisey, my room directly above bar / restaurant, loud music playing till midnight, asked to move rooms and turned down. Never ever again !!
“Very nice hotel--centrally located for Oslo sightseeing”
When we arrived they were working on the elevator (lift)--got it repaired. We asked to change rooms because we heard that the hotel was getting new beds/mattresses. Our mattresses were like marshmellows--too soft. They changed our room after the first night and it was much better. The reception desk staff were very helpful and friendly. We also enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel--excellent. We would definitely return, but that is doubtful as Norway is very expensive.
