“Good Airport Hotel”

This was a convenient hotel for the airport. The staff was friendly and polite. The food in the restaurant was quite good. I didn't really like the way the shower opened and like many hotels in Scandanavia there were no washcloths and bathmat but otherwise it was good. There is a charge for the ride to the airport so one should be aware of that

“conveniently located near the airport”

hotel is quite new, quite near the hotel. you need to pay fare for the shuttle to the hotel. we just need to rest to catch early flight. a bit pricey, but most hotel in norway are quite expensive.

“Best Western Oslo Hotel”

This is truly an airport hotel..we heard planes taking off throughout the night. The rooms are not airconditioned so had to leave the windows open for air thereby making the noise of the planes that much louder. This is not the hotel for a restful night of sleep

Area recommendations

I recommend the area close to the Royal Palace; this area is centrally located and 5 minutes walk from bus, tram and subway.

“Nice hotel near the airport”

This hotel is close to the airport, but nothing else. No food, entertainment, etc. anywhere nearby. Oslo proper is about a 45 minute drive. If the location suits your needs, then this is a great place to stay. It's fairly new/remodeled, everything's clean & in working order, the staff is helpful, friendly, and speak excellent English. My only complaint is that the beds are tiny (as with a lot of European hotels), but okay for a night's sleep.......oh yeah, they also have a pretty good buffet breakfast.

“Needs attention”

We spent two nights on different occasions at this hotel. I would have cancelled the second stay if it hadn't been prepaid. The layout of the lobby seemed awkward with the elevator being far in the back and difficult to find. The complimentary coffee was empty, the cream pitchers were empty, and dirty cups were all around. The room was looking out on a black wall. There was no refrigerator. The one English TV station had no reception. The shelves that divided the dining room from the lobby were dusty and had dirty glasses and various table things on them. The food was tasty. There were two different stereo systems blasting at the same time in the lobby. The library books were in disarray and the chairs in the library were all mixed up and out of any pleasing order. On our second stay the trash basket in the room had not been emptied from the previous guest. The breakfast buffet would ran out of waffle batter and I had to search for help to get it refilled. I felt like the hotel just needed someone to do a bit of quality control.

“Convenient for airport”

We chose this hotel specifically because it was close the airport, as we were simply passing through, coming from Stockholm to catch a flight in Oslo the next morning. It was definitely better than the usual airport hotel, especially the restaurant. The airport shuttle stops right at the hotel door (but be prepared to pay for the shuttle service).

“Convenient for airport”

Stayed one night in order to catch an early flight the next morning, otherwise I would not have chosen this hotel which is far from Oslo. The rooms are simple, very clean and just perfect for a night's stay. The staff is friendly and helpful but the hotel is terribly understaffed which means that you have to wait a long time to get service. Bus ride of 5 mins to the airport is expensive, NOK 60 one way, although taxi is a fixed price of NOK 260!!!!!

“Clean, efficient, convenient”

Our family of 4 stayed at the Norlandia on a layover. The hotel is newer, quiet and a reasonable value for Norway. The staff was polite and accomodating and there were no surprises. The breakfast buffet was a little plain but adaquate.

“Okay for an airport stay.”

The hotel was fine for an airport stay. Most reasonable of all the hotels in the area. There is a restaurant so no need to travel out. Breakfast was good. Hotel room was very small, with no air conditioning.
