“If visiting Osaka again will definitely stay here”
Beautiful hotel, great location. 5 minutes from Universal City station and Universal Studios. Most rooms overlook Universal Studios so great night views. Very clean with friendly helpful staff. Check out is 12 noon and check in is at 3pm so dont plan to arrive early to check in. Luggage can be left until you check into your room. Has a laundromat, coffee shop, restaurants, souvineer shop and laundry service if you dont want to wash/dry your own. Breakfast from 7am - typical Japanese but enjoyable as huge choice. This is a very busy Hotel so recommend booking prior to staying. Trains to Osaka leave around every 15 minutes and are a great way to travel. Taxis are quite expensive. If going to Universal Studios, recommend twilight/day pass as a night visit is a must to see the facinating lights. Overall 10 out of 10.
“Convenient for Universal Studios and Aquarium”
The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the entrance to Universal studios. It is also located next to the ferry terminal where you can catch a boat to the aquarium. The hotel is very much oriented towards Japanese families, so if you dont speak Japanese communication can be a problem. There is a good coin laundry in the hotel but the instructions are only in Japanese. Dont go to Universal studios at the weekend or on public holidays. It gets very crowded and you may have to wait 90 minutes for your ride, so plan your intinerary so that you arrive during the week.
“Perfect if you want to go to Universal studios”
Nice hotel right on the water and right next to universal studios and universal city train station. Good morning buffet - Japanese style with a bit of western options. We had a quad room with plenty of space for the family of four. The hotel was very busy with japanese tourists only. Every time we had a request, the friendly staff were of help although a few Japanese phrases probably would made things easier. There is LAN in the room but no wireless at all. Be aware that universal studios is for japanese audience - everything is in japanese.....
“Best hotel that we stayed in during our trip to Japan”
Large rooms with even larger bathrooms which was a surprise given the other hotels that we used in Japan. Right next door to Universal Studios which kids loved. Plenty of restaurants and food outlets just outside of hotel and Studios. Trains every few minutes back to Osaka Station. Great value.
“If Universal Studios is what you want to see, stay here”
If you want to see Universal Studios Japan, this is your hotel. Not much else to see in the surrounding areas though. It's too bad, I really wanted to see Osaka and I only had one night there. The map showed its location near USJ but it also seemed close to the city. Oh well. The hotel itself is spectacular. Great location, great amenities, great staff, very modern, nice views. I definitely recommend this hotel, again, if you want to see USJ and not the rest of Osaka.
“Fantastic Hotel in a fantastic location.”
I loved Universal Port Hotel- the staff were wonderful, the location fantastic- the train station was across the road which was a short trip to anywhere you need to go. Universal City Walk also across the road had lots of restaurants- free internet (however facebook was blocked) we had a lovely view of Universal studios and look forward to going back again.
“Great Hotel”
This was a great hotel. Pluses: Great bathroom, very quiet, comfortable bed, good room size, excellent buffet, good location for what we were doing. Take the ferry to the Aquarium (it is excellent). The only minus is a lack of restaurants in the neighborhood. The in hotel options are limited to the buffet and Cafe Rex. Cafe Rex is fine, but the food choices are limited. We ate at the hotel buffet for breakfast, and it was very good with an excellent selection of both western and Japanese foods. Lots of fruit, good baked items. The train station is two blocks (US standard) away and is an easy walk with suitcases.
“Very impressed”
It was just an overnight stay on our way into Japan but the hotel was great. We had a view over the water, the room was spotless, the facilities plentiful, and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Easy to get to too, we caught the train from Kansai airport, one train change and a walk across the street. The short train trip in the morning into Osaka station was easy too, though peak hour can be a little daunting if you haven't worked out where your going. Overall this hotel is well worth it, especially at the price we got through expedia.
“Japan's Best Hotel”
Spacious bathroom with full Toto toilet in adjacent area.
“Great hotel”
The room is comfortable and clean. It also has a heated toilet seat. It is located a short walk from Universal City Station. Also, there is a ferry station behind the hotel that goes directly to Tampozan Harbour Village. You can opt for rooms with harbour view or UNJ park view. The only disappointment we had is that the airport limousine bus station is too far away which is not the hotel's fault. However, from traveling to and from airport by train only requires one transfer at Nishi-Kujo Station at the same platform.
