"A very comfortable place to begin our first trip"
We vacationed in Japan for the first time and we stayed here for the first three days because the hotels in Kyoto were full. The spa was wonderful and the hotel room was quite large and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally helpful. The concierge was able to arrange for a volunteer English speaking guide to take us around Osaka Castle.
From the airport we had to wait 1.5 hours for the "shuttle" to the Hyatt (it is really a large bus) - it is not a hotel shuttle, but a public bus. You buy your ticket at the airport. The last bus of the day was at 9 pm and our flight arrived at 7 pm. It took about 40 minutes to get to the Hyatt.
The only place for breakfast is the buffet, which was 30 yen per person.
The hotel does offer a free shuttle to the Osaka train station, which made it easy to take a train to Kyoto station.
We would return to this hotel as we had a very nice experience and it is in an uncrowded area. It is easy to take the subway to the aquarium and to Osaka Castle.
For us this was our second stay. Very luxurious, a good place to recharge yourself during a busy holiday schedule. Well situated within station complex. Lovely room and great bed. Our room view at night was also impressive.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The hotel was centrally located close to the conference center. The environment was beautifully maintained--the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were small but furnished well and cleaned each day. The restaurant had a varity of food that was very good with helpful staff. There was shopping at the hotel site with a variety of small restaurants. The room service for food was excellent. The hotel staff were excellent--they helped with rides to and from the airport. They also helped set up tours of sites around Osaka. Close to the conference center --shopping at the hotel with different restaurants-free shuttle to the train station with shopping and access to Osaka
I arrived at the Westin and was instantly greeted by the most friendly and accommodating staff you can hope for. they were able to provide me with info on the surrounding area and the best ways to move about.
My mother and i stayed 9 nights at the Sheraton Miyako hotel.
Lovely hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Location was great, right next to subway which is a bonus after walking and sight seeing all day.
The buffet breakfast was very good, catering for Japanese and western style food. we found it to be a little expensive at 2500 yen, as its not included in the room rate. But in saying this there are plenty of place to grab a bite close by.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably price stay in Osaka.
