Posted 14-Jul-2014
Pros: The staff the pool the rooms
Cons: The price could be reduced
Location: I always stay here to be close to Universal and City Walk
I always enjoy staying at the Hard Rock. I was just disappointed with universal new Harry Potter ride waiting in line 4 ours and it didn't even open and that was with early park admission

Great for visiting Universal Studios

Posted 12-Jul-2014
Pros: Convenience
The short walk to Universal and extra benefits- extra hour at Harry Potter World and express passes make this a great choice. Rooms were nice but not anything special. Hotel was very nice

Extension to stay at nearby beach

Posted 07-Jul-2014
Pros: Meticulously kept lobby, support areas, and grounds; Excellent theme
Cons: The rooms themselves could be updated; Our room was just okay... maybe a bit better than average
Location: Staying on premise is a must if you wish to really enjoy the parks; This is due to the early admission and the fast pass process
We stayed at the Hard Rock as an extension to a week we spent in Daytona. We had stayed at the hotel once about 10 years ago and wanted to return with our girls to enjoy the parks a couple of days before returning home. The room itself was generally okay, but not tremendously impressive. The balance of the hotel, however, I consider fabulous. From the lobby, to the shops and support services, to the pool, to the grounds.... just beautiful. I absolutely loved our time there. All the staff was tremendously helpful and nice and we were pampered from the moment we pulled up to the hotel. I can't wait to stay here again.

Perfect location to visit Universal Orlando

Posted 05-Jul-2014
Location: Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and CityWalk
We chose to stay at this hotel as we were visiting Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure on consecutive days during our holiday in Orlando. We were able to access our room at 9am, got our Express Passes for the parks and were minutes walk from Universal Studios (also water taxi available). On returning from the parks the hotel was a relaxing and comfortable retreat, the Beach Club at the poolside provided fabulous drinks and a great selection of tasty snacks. They showed a film at the poolside in the evening so the kids were happy to stay till the pool closed at 11pm. The room was a Queen with garden view - very comfortable beds, small bathroom but fine for a short stay. We bought breakfast from the hotel 'marketplace' - Starbucks, bagels, yogurts etc. Easy check out from the hotel and could continue to use all facilities throughout the second day. All staff were friendly and very helpful. Made for a great base to visit both parks.

a great experience

Posted 09-Jan-2013
Pros: The service, the buzz and the facilities were all excellent.
we had a great time from the first moment till the last. the staff were always very courteous and friendly, especially those working at the concierge. there was a real buzz about the hotel - music, memorabilia, people - which made it feel even more special. It was a special occasion - our anniversary and my wife's and children's birthdays - and they upgraded our room and made a cake for us. all in all, a high quality, very enjoyable and fun experience

Great hotel when visiting Universal and City walk

Posted 02-Dec-2012
Pros: Location to Universal
Cons: The extras - car parking and wifi in the room (free in the lobby)
Location: The best aspect is the location
We were able to check in early and the staff well informed and helpful. The hotel provides easy access to City Walk and Universal both taking less than 10 mins to reach. Transport options range from a pleasant walk, catching a boat or be driven by bike. The early entry to the park is excellent and well worth utilising if you are wanting to visit Harry Potter. If you are a music 'buff' the memorabilia in the hotel and the music is not to be missed.

Family Matthews

Posted 15-Nov-2012
Pros: Location
Cons: Parking charges
Location: Perfect for Orlando
Car parking charges are very expensive and hit with $200 bill at cheque out. Our room was generally ok, the bathroom would have benefited with an update, but was always clean. One very slight grumble, the mini bar was not restocked and had to call housekeeping to refresh.... Daily Other than the above, nice hotel and would stay again mainly because of the excellent location
