“Convenient seclusion, but no sleep”
This lovely property appeared to be a nice escape from the day-to-day, close to Disney, but removed from the usual crowded hotel zones. In fact, it took us exactly 10 minutes to get from our front door to the EPCOT parking lot. NOTE: Parking is free, but they do charge resort fees which are not included in what you pay to Expedia. The pool and public areas were very clean. The pool area would not be especially appealing to children, as this is not a family-focused resort. I believe the room we stayed in, 2052, to be the unused lock-off room and bath of a larger condo. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Too bad I could not sleep! Around midnight, the guest upstairs began pacing the floor like a caged animal, keeping me awake most of the night. Sometime around 6:30 am I called security. Around 7 am we heard the guest leave down the stair that was outside our room. To add an insult to this injury, the shower head was turned so that it sprayed cold water in my face and all over the floor when I turned it on. Was this deliberate on the part of the housekeeping staff? I can't think who else would be responsible. I doubt that I will return, even though I visit Orlando frequently. This might be the perfect resort for guests who want to golf and who don't have children, but ask to stay upstairs, and check that shower head before you turn on the water.
“Home sweet home”
I recommend this hotel for guests looking for quietness after long day of time enjoying at disney and shopping centers , near from disney world and best premium oultlets , resturants ....everything, landscape is perfect, golf couse looks amazing , pool is nice and heated the only thing is that they don't have very high speed internet (lease line) but have at least 10mps speed which I see enough for my needs.
“wouldnt stay there again”
bugs in the room , not clean at all
“Would recommend to golfers”
Friendly, helpful and acoomodating staff. Porch of villa literally next to the golf course. Equally accomodating staff at the associated resort in which pool access/exercise is included with the villa through the resort fee. Even parking is validated if you ask. Breakfast was good but very expensive.
“Unbelivealbe how great they were during check in”
Every one was very helpful and very nice. They made sure we had every thing we needed even cream for the morning coffee
“Best hotel in Orlando”
This is the best hotel in Orland fo big family with children , we enjoyed in Villa at grand Cypress and in Hayatt hotel also .
“Great Resort”
Really enjoyed my stay, great resort with friendly, helpful staff, and great golf amenities. Room was clean and comfortable.
“It's the little things that count”
There's little doubt that the Grand Cypress has the feel of a resort destination, but there are some defiant chinks in the armor that illustrate that at present, they do not deserve a 4 star rating. The room that we checked into had a musty odor, it had only 2 towels for a scheduled accommodation of 4 people, and when we requested additional towels, the order was never filled. Combine that with exuberant neighbors who allowed their kids to rev up for Disney at 5:30 AM, and one could guess that this review would be less than favorable. I will say that the subordinate staff seemed efficient and courteous, while the desk staff/management seemed more inclined to apologize for mishaps, instead of acting to make corrections. Subsequently, they also felt that such inconveniences were still worthy of resort fees. At the end of the day, they lost a customer.
“Absolute Privilege”
With heavy heart we got back on a plane from Villas of Grand Cypress. Every single detail of our holiday was magnificent, although the bathrooms are ready for an update. Every staff member greets you with a wave and you would find it impossible to believe you're only a few minutes away from Disney. The golf courses are probably the best I've ever played and we played some serious courses, including Falcons Fire, Eagle Creek and Champions Gate but the North, South Course was in a different league. The New Course is a homage to the St Andrews, Old course and is fun to play. Do yourself a favour and book this place quickly before someone else does.
“Pleasantly Surprised”
I booked this trip as a "Mystery" Hotel and although I am not an avid golfer, I have always loved the peace and tranquility that a golf course offers. The landscape and overall grounds were beautiful. The service and kindness shown to us from all the staff was appreciated. The room itself was just average, but it was a smaller room and really for what we needed, it served it's purpose. the villa backed onto a pond and it was within walking distance to all the amenities. The room walls were a little thin, we were able to hear what was going on in the room next to us, but after spending a day walking the theme parks, we were too tired to really care. Parking is also a concern. After going out for dinner, we came back to a car parked in what I thought was assigned as our space. I did go to the front desk to inquire and was told there is no way to really "police" this. Suggestion to the hotel: Assigned parking of 1 car per villa with a reserved sign in front. Overall, it was a nice place for a great price and I would consider staying here again.
