“Great Value Hotel”
In a good quiet location only a few minutes walk to International Drive. Friendly staff and helpful to get you shuttles to parks etc. We stayed in a double room with 2 queen beds, room very clean and housekeepers do a good job. The plug in the bath leaked but we managed to live with this. Apart from that the only thing I would complain about was the vending machines empty for over a week of our holiday and hotel has no bar or restaurant which would improve it if they did and be an advantage after a long day walking round the parks. Clean towels and facecloths provided everyday along with soap. Would stay there again. Before taking a taxi ask for a price as 1 taxi driver conned us and charged us 6 dollars more than the others, this was a local company the hotel uses for guests so I would advise not to ask the hotel to call for you a taxi.
“Baymont inn Hotel Canada Avenue”
I had a negative perception of the hotel before I turned up after reading the reviews, as we were staying there for 2 weeks. However, this is an extremely good hotel. Even though the hotel is classed as 2 star, it has been by far one of the best hotels I have stayed in, in the 2 star category. Its convenient, comfortable and the staff are very helpful. We stayed there for 2 weeks and I'm grateful we did with most attractions being only a 10 minute drive. ie. DisneyLand theme parks. Universal is a 2 minutes drive with Wet and Wild being a 1 minute drive. The cleaners were always helpful and cleansed the room daily. To be honest, all the other negative reviews shouldn't be considered if you were contemplating on staying here. Overall review is I would recommend to anyone.
“I am in love !! Cannot wait to go back”
When we pulled up to the hotel I really wasnt sure if we had made the right decision (it was pitch black when we arrived !!) the room was massive, and clean which is what you need after a long journey. The room was supplied with a microwave and coffee/tea maker but no cutlery or cups !! A little random I feel. It took us a week to actually find the pool but once we found it we were using it every day. If staying on the 2nd floor please be careful of the drinks machine - you never quite get what you pick !!! I loved this hotel location and the staff were excellent and vry helpful. We are in the process of booking our next holiday and will be booking to go back. I recommend this hotel for a cheap, clean hotel that is close to everything !!!
“Great value, WHY the bad reviews?”
Just returned from an eight night stay here. What a lovely find. First off, this isn't Disney, but the price isn't either. Clean and tidy. Sheets and towels were pleantiful and although some had seen better days, they did what towels do as well as any other towels I have ever used. The room was a little out of date, but it was clean, tidy and cleaned daily. Breakfast, by USA standards was basic, but for us from Europe: Tea, Coffee, 3 types of juice, 5 cerials, fruit, bread/toast, muffins and waffles is more than was expected. I was expecting to eat out for breakfast every morning, but did not need to. EVERYONE was helpful. Very close to I-drive and from there the world is your oyster. Have I stayed in better, yes, but I have also stayed in a LOT worse, even in I-drive for a lot more money. I would be more than happy to return and would recomend to anyone with value for money over frills in mind.
“Great location”
When we booked this hotel the intention was to try and findest the cheapest hotel close to international drive. When we got there we wasn't expecting much but in the end was pleasantly surprised. Overall the hotel as better then expected and the only thing i can think of which let the whole experience down a bit was that the maid never changed the cover a few times on the bed even though it was very dirty and stained The hotel is ina great location as it is situated just off international drive and sand lake road. this means you are only a 2 min walk from the main road which suited me fine! Pirates dinner show, chillis and tgi fridays were all 2 mins away right as you leave the hotel so eating out was easy. From the Baymont distances for a few attractions were as follows. Wet and Wild - 10 min walk Sea World - 10 min or i-ride or 30 min walk Aquatica - Same as above Universal - 10 min bus ride or 35 min walk Disney - 15 min shuttle
“Get what you pay for!”
Basic but clean hotel, good location next to I-Drive, half hour walk to Universal. Helpful reception staff and room cleaned and new towels daily! Breakfast is basic and a bit of a free for all regarding seating!
“Couples first trip to Orlando”
We had no problems whatsoever with this hotel, check in/out was very quick. Room was clean with new bedsheets/towels daily etc. It is not the most modern of hotels but suited our purpose adequately which was just a place to rest after days out at the theme parks and such. Did not sample the breakfast as ate out everyday or the swimming pool so cannot comment on these. Hotel is very conveniently located just off International drive and near I-4, in range of plenty of restaurants, a Wal Mart and about 5-10 minutes from Universal Studios by car. Overall it is was a clean, maintained hotel, we had no major problems but just dont expect the best of quality as this is a budget hotel. We would return here in the future.
“Won't use again”
overall pretty disapointed with the hotel good points - rooms were clean, location of hotel was pretty good bad points - no restaurant, only did a very limited breakfast which had to be ate in the hotel lobby, hair dryer in room didn't work took 3 days to get fixed girl at desk was more intersted in her cell phone than my complaint her soluton was to move me to a different room. price was right but I did expect a bit more from it wouldn'y use this hotel again
