“Close to SeaWorld”

Great hotel if traveling with large party -- plenty of space for adults and children. Did not use pool, but they looked very nice! Room was kept up well, we were in building 5 (Bella Florida section) and it had a great view of the center pond and waterfalls. Also close if you were to walk across the bridge to the pools. Check-in process was a pain, took way too long! Room was not ready, they took our number and said they would call...we got 5 minutes off property and got the call. Annoying that we could have just stood there 5 more minutes, It's a huge property and they have got to get a better system of when their rooms are going to become available.

Area recommendations

Downtown Disney is great for families. This hotel is much closer to SeaWorld and there are lots of other condo places closer to Disney than this one, including the original Vistana which is just as nice (just a little older, but kept up well).

“Vistana Fan”

We have stayed at two other Sheraton Vistanas and have liked them. This one was no exception. It looked very nice, was new. was in good condition, and close to the Orlando attractions. Our first room was in a section near the road. We did not have a balcony and the windows faced the main road (the complex is a little back from the road). The door latch was broken off and there was no light bulb in one lamp. The maintenance man came immediately and fixed both problems. We also did not have wifi access. We asked for another room which did have wifi access. It was in a newer section away from the main road and had a pirate pool right next to it which was perfect for my son. Also, it was a little bigger with a balcony. We were very happy with the room. The next day the internet access (wifi) access was still not working perfectly. I think each day you need to turn off the wifi, turn it on and re-log onto the network.

“Great hotel to stay”

Great place. Excellent rooms. Felt like a condo. Didn't like the vacation services trying to give me "free" breakfast under the guise of a vacation ownership presentation. Otherwise well worth it.

“Consistent accomodation - If you've got any sense you'll avoid the "hard sell" timeshsare though”

Stayed here on at least six occasions. Consistent levels of comfort and service. Some minor issues with servicing of apartment (not cleaned on a couple of occasions). However, guest services have always sorted it or credited appropriate compensation. Very comfortable and well equipped villas, especially the two bedroom units. Also located at much the better end of I-Drive. Seriously though, be aware that you will be badgered to attend a "complimentary breakfast". You will be offered varying sums of money to attend ($100 on our last visit). This is a timeshare presentation and, unless you really need the 100 bucks, is a total waste of your vacation time.

When your done with the parks, treat yourself and go shopping at the fabulous Mall at Millenia.

“Exceeded expectations”

First, there are two Sheraton Vistana properties -- easy to confuse but relatively close to each other. This is a timeshare complex "renting" rooms to expose the property. A 90 minute sales pitch is heavily promoted but comes with a cash payment and a discount on the rack rate of a Sheraton hotel. The breakfast consists of cold baked goods, coffee and juice. But, the pitch is not heavy handed and the people are nice. Each person on staff has their own special promo to offer. So, every encounter is an opportunity to buy. There is a shuttle to the parks but runs so infrequently as to not be an effective option. The rooms, however, are terrific! We took the 2 bedroom suite with full kitchen. Three grocery stores are nearby (and a Wal-Mart). So, at the end of a full day of park activity, a self-cooked meal actually allowed more relaxation than the noise and waits of a restaurant.

“Spacious, comfortable and well maintained”

The suite we had located to the rear of the property was a good size, very clean and had all of the facilties we required. The only negative comment we have is that we had to open our door and stand outside to receive the wireless broadband which is supposed to be accessible in every suite. Other than that everything else is first class. There is plenty of parking outside each complex and the grounds were maintained to a high standard. Excluding the onsite restaraunt it was necessary to use our car or the bus service to travel to surounding restaraunts etc as there were no bars or restaraunts within walking distance. The staff were all helpful and friendly. There is an onsite shop which sells basic groceries etc. We would recommend this complex for any visitor, as it provided us with an excellent base enjoy our holiday from. If you propose to hire a car then remember to take some quarters with you as some of the toll roads do not have any attendants and require exact change only, usually between 75 cents to a dollar and 25 cents.
