OK at best

Posted 07-Sep-2014
Pros: The coffee shop and pool.
Cons: Customer service and better food.
Location: Convenient location to Disney World and Universal Studios.
My husband and I reserved a non-smoking room with a king size bed. We were given a room with two twin beds instead. We called the front desk to see if we can change rooms. The lady who picked up the phone was rude and said that was all that is available. It's a big hotel and not during peak season so I doubt she was telling the truth. And what's the point of reservations if we don't get what we reserved. The hotel has several restaurants downstairs. We tried the breakfast buffet at Matisse. It was mediocre at best. Would not go back for breakfast again. We have not tried lunch or dinner there. The sandwiches at Little Bite were pretty good though. All in all we would probably stay elsewhere the next time we visit Orlando.

Nice hotel, conveniently located.

Posted 28-Aug-2014
Pros: Spent most of the time at the pool - nice and relaxing.
Cons: Complimentary internet/Wi-Fi extremely slow, not much on cable. However, more efficient faster service can be purchased. Mattresses rather soft.
Location: Bars and variety of restaurants in walking distance so are fast food places and gift shops.
The 4 night stay at the hotel was comfortable. The staff, pleasant, helpful and professional which made all the difference.

On International Drive

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Pros: The location
Cons: The staff's attitudes
I was not impressed with this hotel...I was expecting more... The staff at the convenient shop were most rude and disrespectful.

Good lifts/elevators

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Pros: Lots of fast lifts. Good pool open all day
Cons: No complimentary breakfast Poor wifi Staff discourage use of buses but push their own private cabs Poor or no shuttle services to airport and parks
Location: Not much within walking distance, except small shopping mall, few restaurants and convention centre. Universal Studios, Seaward is a short bus ride.
Big nice modern hotel with good amenities My non-smoking room smelt of cigarettes on arrival Confusion about beds and rooms booked on arrival Could not connect to wifi, but tech support helpful

Good location

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: Bright and open foyer. Rooms clean and quiet. Good on site local shop selling food and snacks with onsite Starbucks.
Cons: Beds to be bigger
Location: Excellent. Local shops, restaurants, bars and cinemas. Well positioned for disney or universal.
Having travelled to Orlando and stayed a number of times with family and friends before on international drive, this was our first stay at the rosen plaza. Overall we had a very good stay. The hotel is well located for local shops and restaurants with pointe orlande just across the road. The two comments which prevented allocating a full five stars were: 1. There were three if us in the family staying in a double room. However the beds unusually for US hotels were very small for two adults to share. 2. The hotel bar was closed for renovations on the second day of our stay. Whilst the nightclub was open for drinks in the evening our teenage girls were not old enough to be allowed in and this was a real shame not to be able to have a drink with the family and friends at the end of the evening in the hotel. Unclear why the hotel didn't create a temporary bar elsewhere considering size.
