“great value, great location, great breakfast”
My husband and i stayed at the Ramada on International Drive for a week starting 30th January 09. The hotel represents great value for moeny as it is in a great location, right on I drive but set back ( so no traffic noise etc) and offering lovely views of a lake and wet and wild, the free breakfast is the usual toast , cereals, donuts, fruit and waffles ( although waffle maker always busy)people have commented on here about the breakfast , but it is free, thats a big saving over a week or two and i have better things to spend my money on! The reason i only gave the room comfort 4 was that it was two queen beds rather than a king, that was the only room fault. The maids cleaned every day and would always manage to get in and clean your room, no matter how late you left. There was ample parking so never a worry about coming back late at night. All corridoors are external but also i felt safe, coming from me that is a big thumbs up as i am always concerned with safety. its not the most flash luxury place but it is a great place.
“What a great find”
Might only be 2.5 stars but boy is this a great little find right in the heart of the action for the theme parks and orlando entertainment. Set waaay back off idrive itself and snuggled right up on Sand lake this hotel provides excellent value for money in the vacation capital of the world. The rooms are spacious and clean with twin double beds, microwave and fridge. The veiw from the room is superb, especially at night (just don't stay below floor 3 or you'll miss out) The staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Having stayed in some of the best hotels Orlando has to offer including Disney's top end offerings I have to say this hotel rocks :)
“Nice Surprise”
Really nice surprise, set back from International Drive so you don't get the noise this hotel offers good rooms at reasonable rates. Despite peeling paintwork on the outside of the building the rooms have been refurbished and are large and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This hotel was great if you are looking to get around I Drive and Universal.
“Excellent”
After reading some of the reviews of this hotel I was a little unsure about staying ehre. However I was pleasently surprised! It was perfect location on International Drive with an I Ride very close. We walked to WetnWild [10 mins] and Universal/Islands of Adventure [roughly 25-30 mins] often. And got the I Ride to Seaworld and Aquatica which took about [20 mins]. The hotel is set back off International Drive so it was nice and quiet at night time. We felt incredibly safe walking around. The free breakfast wasnt amazing - but what do you want for nothing? There are plently of resturants with in walkng distance as well as a Wallgreens oposite WetnWild. There is a fridge and microwaves in the room so you can keep some food and drinks there. The pool is ok - kinda small but fine went you want a quick dip at night to relax after a long day walking around the parks. All in all its an ideal hotel if you just want somehwere that is clean and safe to leave your case and get your head down at night!
“You can't go wrong .”
Aesthetically the hotel looked and was very welcoming and clean. The rooms looked slightly old, but were extremely clean, carpets were clean with no bugs or damp or odd smells, although the windows could have done with a bit of a shine. The beds were really comfortable, the bathroom very clean, and we have the mother of all views of a lake directly below and could see the Universal Studios/Island of Adventure as well as Wet & Wild parks. The room also had a fridge, microwave, satellite TV and air con and a very simple, easy to operate safe which did not involve carrying around a chunky safe key, you simply entered a 4 digit pin number to open and close it for $2. a night, which they charge you for at the end, only if you tell them you've used it! If you smoke you can step outside of your room as the corridors are external and they provide ash bins outside the lifts. The outdoor swimming pool was heated, you could see steam coming off it, although we did not get a chance to use it as we were out all day. By day 2, we were calling our room 'home'. Include tips in your budget, and you get even better service to your room. There was a computer in the 24-hour manned foyer, it was a bit slow, but so what. The breakfast room was clean and cosy. Breakfast was a very light affair but adequate. We felt safe in our hotel and the surrounding area, with all shop keepers and restaurant staff, very pleasant, if anything - over courteous. Leave tips.
“very pleasant stay”
not plush, but very comfortable. good breakfast. helpful staff. good location. very enjoyable
“Very good hotel as base for Orlando theme parks”
Very good situated hotel as base for Orlando theme parks, especially the Universal complex and Wet and Wild water park. Extremely helpful staff and good basic buffet breakfast provided. Rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped with team/coffee making and fridge & microwave. We had 11th floor rooms which had great views over the lake and beyond. Would recommend this hotel, which also had free internet access as well. Great deal for the price we paid.
“Great Value!”
I was really impressed with the Ramada inn hotel. The rooms were clean, spacioius and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was adequate and given that it was included in the price a fantastic add on. The only slight negative was that the taxi firm called by the hotel were very expensive in comparasin to other taxis in the area.
“good hotel and great price”
Would recommend this hotel. The hotel is very clean and looks well maintained. Great view of the lake, over Wet and Wild. Breakfast buffet OK but gets very busy. Very close to all attractions on international drive. Would stay again. Recommended.
“very good value for money”
very good, excellent view and position
