“Great Location”
Lovely complex in a great location. Very quiet but only 10 minutes from Disney. The apartment is big (we had a two bedroom) and has everything you need for a family stay. Only downside was despite a late arrival after a very long day travelling they still tried to go into a sales pitch for what I assume was time share. I politely declined his offer of a free breakfast and sales talk and that was the end of it. Other than that I would recommend this place and would definitely go back
“Would definitely return”
Just returned from staying 4 nights at Mystic Dunes and would recommend this hotel. We don't play golf but it doesn't matter. The hotel staff were very accommodating allowing us to have an extra 2 hours to check-out to watch the F1 on TV at no charge! The housekeeping service deliver clean towels, washing powder, soap, rubbish bags etc., every day. The clubhouse restaurant food is excellent and service superb and charming - as is most service in Orlando from our experience. The one glitch in our stay at Mystic Dunes was that the bed in our 1 bedroom villa was atrocious - far too hard and very uncomfortable - we therefore removed the mattress from our sofa bed in the lounge area to put on top of the bed mattress - which helped. If you stay in a room with no sofa bed we don't know how you'd cope unless you particularly like lying on a wooden board! Other than that, the resort is excellent and would definitely return.
“Stay in a Golf area without playing golf.”
Great value in a good location. A car is a must have to stay here. Good choice of restaurants wthin a 10 minute drive. Hotel is well placed to visit Disney land.
“Very satisfied customer”
No problems at all at check in. Extremely good quality of apartment. Pools too small for the amount of people staying at the time. Disappointed with Kenzies Restaurant - not very welcoming and Golf Club a bit too snooty for our liking. Never bothered once by time share salesmen. Could do with a shop on site
“very enjoyable stay”
this was the second time we had stayed at the Mystic Dunes and in addition this time we were actually given complimentary breakfast vouchers and received daily towel changes and some maid service. The apartments are brilliant with fully inclusive kitchens and large bedrooms with a super king size bed. We would not hesitate to use again.
“Mystic Dunes / No mystery to good service”
We had a great 2 bed apartment with a 52" TV. Double jacuzzi for naughty nights if you fancied. Swimming pool and play/louge area right outside. No, repeat no, hassle regarding timeshare reps, just one phone call and I explained I was not interested and was on a package. If you are a golfer then you couldn't ask for better, great course and shop. You need a car to get around the place but then again it is practical to have one in Orlando anyway. We didn't use the free shuttle but know that it was really good. 10 mins from Disney Parks, further for International Drive and Universal but so easy to get too if you understand the road signage. Would highly recommend this resort.
“Would go back”
Mystic Dunes is a nice place to stay, not to keen on the bedroom being at the front of the apartment and we didn't have the best view. We did find it a little strange that as it was meant to accommodate 4 people there was only enough seating for 3 at a push. even though it says full kitchen we thought that they should review this as there were not enough pans to cook the simplest dishes. The cleaning staff were great and changed the towels daily and pulled the bed together. Intetnet access is rather expensive at just under $10 for the day or $50 for the week. On the whole a nice place to stay and we would stay there again, but be warned if you are not keen on mirrors this is not the place for you they are everywhere!
“Not impressed with golf course”
Resort was alright but the condition of the golf course was very disappointing
“Inappropriate maintenance schedule”
The overall impression of Mystic Dunes was good, with the gold course in excellent condition and a good test. The two bedroom apartment was spacious if somewhat basic but all the ameneties required for a comfortable stay were in place. The only disappointment was the block housing our apartment being painted while we were there. A painting crew of about 8 spent 5 days preparing and painting the outside of the block, starting about 0730 and working until after 6pm. All fitting and fixtures, including all the external lights were covered with brown paper and masking tape. meaning a very low residual light level throughout the block. Although in a gated site, the lack of light did cause some nervousness with my kids. We were there between 5 - 19 December with lots of unoccupied units. Surely the resort cvould have arranged the allocation of accommodation to ensure the block being painted was unoccupied! Apart from that we enjoyed our stay and would go back - but first checking the maintenance schedule!
