“WiFi does not work”

Okay if you want to just stay for several nights. Wireless in my room did not work. Could not do any business work, which is a big minus. Direction from 528 up International Drive is tricky.

“not impressed”

Great location for Universal. We walked three out of four times, because the bus had been late on the first morning. When it arrived, it was full, although another one followed shortly after. Not ideal, if you want to beat the queues at Universal for the first couple of rides. We also had a cockroach in our bathroom and some tiny bugs. At the far end of the hotel, the internet is very hit and miss, although this is improved nearer the lobby. I had phoned ahead and was told the rooms had recently been done up. Ours did not give that impression.

“Walls too thin, won't go back”

La Quinta's are generally a decent hotel chain for a quick overnight trip for me and the kids; this one should not be considered a La Quinta! Walls were thin so you heard EVERYTHING from all surrounding rooms, above, next to AND across the hall! The shuttle to the parks seemed like a good deal, but a cab ride would have been cheaper! The layout of the hotel was strange and there are long walks between enterances, so it was not convienent to get to and from the room. The hotel had a fowl odor by the breakfast area that was constant, whether the food was there or not. Needless to say, we will not return to this hotel and maybe not any La Quinta in the future.

Area recommendations

Anything closer to the Convention Center or Disney property would be a better neighborhood than this hotel was situated in.

“"Best hotel for the price"”

La Quinta Inn Orlando International Drive North was an exceptional hotel for the price that I paid. It was conveniently located on International Drive and my guests and I were able to take the Trolley everywhere. The hotel was very clean and the beds were very comfortable! The hotel had a nice pool and a shuttle to the Theme Parks. We had a wonderful time! Next time I visit Orlando, I won't hesitate to stay at this hotel.

Area recommendations

I would definitely recommend the International Drive area because you can get anywhere from there.

Getting around

You should invest in the 3 or 7 day Trolley pass because it takes you to many dining and shopping destinations. It also takes you to Seaworld and Aquatica.

“Very comfortable and convenient”

The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was spacious. I enjoyed the free breakfast a lot. The staff was nice and pretty helpful with everything. I did have some issues with my keys. I'm not sure why they would suddenly not work and needed new keys.

“We can go back”

It is a conveniently located hotel. Close to Universal, Island of Adventure and Wet n' Wild. Breakfast is ok and service was very good. We can go back when returning to Orlando.

“LQ Orlando Buiders Show”

I had to check out earlier due to the fact that my convention was stopped earlier then expected. Even if the website said I could not get a refund on this hotel, I did not even had to ask the manager if it still was possible, he already told me that I could contact Expedia and the rest will take care of it ! and walla! done deal ! Thank LQ and Expedia !

Be careful of the weather, always check the weather, in sunny Orlando I experienced 32 F during my stay. Never I seen this cold weather in Florida !

“honest value for the money”

We picked this hotel for it's proximity to Universal studios,the shuttle,and breakfast. The location was perfect,the shuttle very convenient(a return trip in the afternoon would be useful),but the breakfast was disapointing,not enough food (fruits,yoghurts,milk), not enough places to sit, long lineups, badly organized.Staff was friendly and helpful.

“clean and good location, but”

It is clean and good location, but lots things need to be upgrade, like CRT TV to LCD TV, bathroom, etc..
