“Disgusting and a waste of money”

I had to personally scrub down all of the floors in our room 4 times. They were brown and filthy. The kitchen had 2 forks and 1 pot and 1 pan, no burners worked on the stove. I have kids with severe allergies and they were miserable. It was filthy and disgusting. I would never recommend this place.

“A lovely and extremly relaxing hotel”

I stayed at this hotel in August and enjoyed my stay very much. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. I was unhappy with the first room I was given because of closeness to the pool and asked to be moved, the staff took my request and without a problem, a new room was found and keys issued. The rooms are cleaned each day and the housekeeping was impeccable. I left a note for additional sheets and it was done by the time I returned after a day at the parks. Towels were changed with regularity. The two rooms with separate tv's saved me from watching my son's cartoons, and gave me a bit of peace and quiet much needed after the long days in the parks. The kitchenette is a lovely touch and helped a great deal in cutting our dining cost. The buffet breakfast each morning was a blessing. Kids loved the ability to go back for seconds and get whatever their hearts desired time and again. While the menu remained fairly consistent for each day, the choice options were more than enough to break up the monotony. I went at a very busy time of the year for the hotel and Orlando, whilst there was a little wait for a table for breakfast on some mornings, the staff was exceptionally helpful and cleanliness was maintained consistently. I would not hesitate in recommending or visiting this hotel again... GREAT JOB!

Area recommendations

This Hotel is idealistically located on International Drive. There are plenty places to go within walking distance. I would still recommend a car for getting to and from the parks for the convenience. FYI there are buses that leave every morning from the hotel.

“Great location and nice staff”

Homewood suites was very nice, hot breakfast and evening snack and wine. only thing not perfect was couch and chair in our suite, very uncomfortable! Otherwise, enjoyed our stay and would book again when in Orlando for business or pleasure.

“Great Hotel!”

We spended 6 days and 7 nights in the hotel and were very pleased. The room was well-kept and clean. The staff members were friendly. The complimentary breakfast was better than expected. We didn't got to try the "happy hour" because they offer it early in the evening while we were in the parks. Also, the hotel has a great location as it is surrounded by many restaurants. Definetely, we'll come back at this hotel again!

Getting around

The I-ride trolley is a plus! Because of the changed shuttle schedule during fall term, the last pick-up from the Wet 'n Wild , Sea World, or Aquatica park was around four o'clock, and as we wanted to stay late at the parks, we took the I-ride trolley back to the hotel. It stops close to the parks' gates and the hotel.

“Hitel was good.”

The staff were very friendly, but was disappointed on breakfast selection. I have stayed at this hotel a number of times in the past and it was very noticable this time that the same effort was not but into the food on offer in the mornings nor the night time social get together. Think I will be going to a different hotel on my next visit.

We visited all the usual sites and have to say they were wonderful, we especially enjoy Kennedy Space Centre.

Events and shows

Would recommend the Sleuths Mystery Dinner. It was great value for money and it was very entertaining. We will be returning to this venue.

“Very Good hotel for families, great location”

We stayed here from mid August (2 adults/2 kids) - initially for 2 weeks then got stuck due to Hurricane Irene (connecting flight back to UK was cancelled via NYC) - so ended up 3 weeks. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The Hotel is really good - free parking, safe and very convienient. Walking distance to restaurants/Walgreens/Denny's is 2 minute walk. Convieniently located between Wonderworks and Ripleys on the i-drive but inside road so it's very quiet - recommend that you get a "pool view". Most rooms have a kitchen, sofa bed (not very comfortable) and 2 flat screens. Very clean (helps to put a daily tip for the maid !) Pool was never overcrowded - clean and nice hot tub. Breakfast was good ( a bit repetitive but saves $$). Mon - Thurs there is free dinner - basic but good (wine and beer ... again saved us some money). Universal ticket desk available for express tickets (prices change daily). Laundry was very handy. Internet room was available but very slow connection. Overall - excellent place to stay - just wished they had room service - would stay again

Area recommendations

Walmart is about 15 mins by car - very close to the I-4 - great place to shop ! Pointe Orlando is good - Imax cinema deep inside - you can walk it !

“Do not recommend!!”

The floor in the bedroom was soaked, the blankets had blood on them and we got no washcloths 2 days in a row. The sofa needed to be in a junkyard it was so worn out. Very unhappy with this property and normally very satisfied with Hilton brand properties.
