Near universal, free shuttle, awesome staff

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Pros: Free a entities (breakfast, dinner, drinks, wifi [very fast], and shuttle to Universal) and the friendly staff.
Cons: Checking the cleanliness of the rooms before assigning them out (although our issue was remedied immediately). More laundry facilities.
Location: Universal studios (2 miles), family friendly restaurants across the street, bungee and miniature golf within walking distance
This hotel is only 2 miles from Universal with a free shuttle in the AM and PM. Free hot bountiful breakfast, free kid friendly dinner including a bar with 1 free drink per night stay for the adults. The pool is nice with a nice hot tub. The staff is very friendly. Upon our arrival we went into our suite and noticed a strong mildew smell. My husband returned to the front desk and asked for a new room. There were no suites available so they gave us 2 adjoining Rooms. My 9 year old was very excited. During our stay the spacious room was kept very clean and at a comfortable humidity and temperature. The water pressure was good and the bathrooms a nice size. The laundry facilities were reasonably priced but one of the washers was broken so there was a line to get the laundry done. Dining and grocery shopping was convenient with a whole foods, 7-11 and nice restaurants across the street. The shuttle ride to Universal was very quick and always on time. The ride back was a bit longer because the Drury was the last stop, but even at that it only too about 20 minutes and the driver was very friendly.

This hotel was an excellent stay. It is in a central area, clean, comfortable & the staff was very courteous and friendly. We loved that they served breakfast, dinner & offered free drinks. I will definitely book my stay again when in town. Thank you Drury Staff.

It's a very friendly hotel.

Posted 12-Aug-2014
Pros: The room is big, clean and the bed is comfy, restroom is spacious too. Breakfast is hot and good, you make your own waffles. Drink can get anytime.
Cons: The shuttle from the theme park pick up time is too early. The theme park close at 10 pm but the latest shuttle time is 8:05pm.
Location: It's next to the Universal Studio theme park.
We finished our 5-day cruise, and went to take another 3days vacation in Orlando. We booked this hotel due to its review is pretty good. We thought the free breakfast is just a ok one. But when we saw the breakfast the next day, we all were happy. You make the waffles by yourself , ,our kids love it. They have the shuttle back and forth to the theme park. Even though we rent the car, we still decided to take the shuttle to save the parking fee. Only one thing is the shuttle bus for night time pick up is way too early. Cause the theme park close at 10pm, their latest time to pick up is at 8:10pm. There was one night, my husband and I were the last two people on the bus, then the bus driver just dropped off us on the street instead of front of the hotel. The sand lake street is so busy that you might need to plan ahead if you are in rush, like taking the plane.

Pros: Easy access to I4 and all the parks. Buffett was very good. Shower pressure very good.
Cons: A Safe in the room
Location: In Orlando with easy access to all the major theme parks.
The Drury Inn was as good as advertised. The rooms were clean and well equipped, the staff friendly and the breakfast buffet was an added bonus.

Great Hotel, good 'freebies'

Posted 07-Aug-2014
Pros: Location, 'Freebies', Pool
Cons: Nothing
Location: 10 mins on the free shuttle to Universal, get there for opening times to hit all the big rides before any queues. Get the shuttle back, or taxi ($9)
Loved our stay at the Drury. Great location (only 10 mins from Universal). Breakfast was good (think Dennys quality rather than haute cuisine) and kept us going at the parks for most of the day. Food each evening for the kickback was OK and fed us for a couple of nights, kids were more than happy. Three free alcoholic drinks per night were also a bonus. Kids loved the indoor/outdoor pool. Rooms were very nice - clean, well maintained, beds comfy. Good views (of Disney fireworks) from the 8th floor. Very little noise from roads.

Affordable hotel with good perks.

Posted 07-Aug-2014
The Drury Inn is conveniently close to the universal Orlando resort and is right off the exit of I-4. Complimentary buffet breakfast and in room HDTV with HBO are nice extras. My complaints were the dirty towels and thin walls. But overall, a good deal.

Amazing Stay!!!!

Posted 31-Jul-2014
We got this hotel because of the price and location (going to universal parks) I mainly reviewed other people's reviews before booking to make sure the hotel was as good as it looks. I have to say it was everything we were hoping for. The room was spacious (we got the regular room w/ 2 queen beds for 4 people), it was very clean. The breakfast was really good actually i wasn't expecting for it to be that good! (they have eggs, potatoes; fresh made waffles, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, and coffee, tea, and orange/apple juice) nothing fancy, but it got us going to start the day!!!! Staff was very friendly, with the exception of the lady that checked us in the first night, she might have been tired cuz we checked in almost before mid-night. They also have free drinks and popcorn in the afternoon, and i thought that was pretty cool, specially for the kids. I didn't give this hotel 5 stars because the pool area is not that amazing, but if you're going to the parks, it should be ok. I also used the gym, nothing fancy but i was able to do my cardio and weights. If you really want something good and affordable, this is it! you end up spending more if you book a cheaper hotel without the breakfast included. I loved the fact that there were no hidden costs, and the parking was free, ohhh and the wi-fi was free too!!!!!!

Great hotel for families!

Posted 27-Jul-2014
Pros: The pool, the fitness room, and the food.
Location: Took my granddaughter to Downtown Disney and had a wonderful time. Traffic in Orlando was challenging but the hotel was in a great location.
We had to change accommodations because of additional family members. When we arrived at the hotel, changing rooms was a breeze. The staff was very accommodating.
